Comparing this scene in both the manga and anime, yes the battle was a little rushed and condensed. I believe it took place over two chapters. However it was still a good adaption from the manga.
Also things have changed since the first episode. Utena is not the same girl she was back then. And this confrontation is not in the same vein as when she "played" with Tre Magia. Yet even though the stakes were high, Utena is still Utena and handled business in her manner.

Please don't take this as a confrontational question but I am curious as to why you consider this scene as "perfect and touching" in the original manga while the animated scene which is literally shot per shot dialogue for dialogue recreation of the same scene.

I not only want to see dignity being shattered, but I also want to see smooth and exquisite spanking scenes.
