Mda, this one is more math than spanking. Let's call it an interlude =) In any case, it's the answer to Fulgur's problem from MG-7.
At the same time I was testing the squared paper as alternative to the lined one. Lined proved to be better.

XD! I was pretty sure there was a more elegant solution. I suck at math, and was pretty proud to at least figure something out myself=))
Thanks for posting the right answer, I was actually curious to see it!=))

Yep, exactly I never got the recurrent formula, though - I just made it into a quadratic equation, and then "cheated", since one of the solutions for this equation is trivial ((-2)^2 + (-1)^2 + 0^2 = 1^2 + 2^2, similarly for others), so you can actually get by with only knowing one coefficient of the equation.

OK, other questions for the Math girls - pick one: Find a number that is equal to sum of the factorials of its digits. Should be easy - there are actually two such numbers.

Find two numbers a and b such that if I choose any number from (a, a+1, a+2) and any number from (b, b+1, b+2), the two chosen numbers will be never relatively prime.

The math girls find a fun game to play: They roll some dice (number depends on their mood) and sum up the numbers. Then, each of them in turn can change either die to a lower number, or take away any die that shows "1". Whichever girl
take away the last die wins and gets to spank the loser for the sum originally rolled.

Find a winning strategy for this game.

For bonus points, try to find solution in these cases:

a) The last taken die loses.
b) Girls are not allowed to repeat the last move (i.e. if one of them turns 5 to 4, the other one can't turn 5 to 4 in her next move)
c) Any girl who takes a die showing "1" must immediately make another move (and loses if she can't make one).

Fulgur, that is awesome! First two problems are way over my head, but I'm too curious to just let them go. We should start a joined project - you supply the math and I'll draw=)

P.S. for the dice game, do they change the number to the next lower (e.g. 5 -> 4) or to any lower number?
