I've always viewed magic as being incredibly dangerous, and able to corrupt those with weak wills. So much so that in a headcanon of mine, the practice of such is banished throughout the lands. I do agree with what you're saying, and have a proposition. Magic doesn't have to be shooting fireballs and creating snow in your palms. It can be chemical. Intelligence. Knowing what can make what, and how to use it in battle, or to con others. That being said, what has this to do with a roleplay? If you don't mind me asking.
