My idea was that I play Sir Arthur Payne, a middle aged knight of some renown on the battle and tourney field. Currently he is in London, doing business with the Jews and the rising German Hansa. Tough maybe he would also invest in simple English traders?

He is loyal follower of John, thinking he owes him fealty.

They have some property and investments in London, but also own a mid sized castle on the Scottish border. They were gifted it after their ancestor, a minor Norman knight, distinguished himself at the famous Battle of the Standard during the great Anarchy.
