Something else. How about his. The kid has an elder sibling (18) who left, not because of the lack of room or financial stuff, but because of how the mother acts? The siblings had been close but after moving the elder one drifted away over the course of a year. During that time, the kid grew more and more irritated, keenly aware of the mother's wrongdoings.

What do you think?

Well, I was thinking responsible!kid/irresponsible!mother. A pretty basic rp that goes from day to day as the balance of power shifts inside the family.

Maybe Rodrigo sees a Jinx,and decides to catch her,though Jinx says only if he beats her.

Rodrigo decides to use Growlie,as Jinx is an ice type,but Nidoqueen,overprotective of her trainer,leaves her Pokeball and decides to fight instead!

Rodrigo gasps,and tells her to return,even trying to use the Pokeball,but Nidoqueen refuses to,telling Rodrigo to leave the fighting to her.

Result-she get a Super Effective Ice attack,which wouldn't have affected Growlie this much!

Rodrigo is able to use Growlie to save her,and after he saves Nidoqueen and she's healed,he scolds her....and Nidoqueen realises she did worry her trainer and her stubborness did get her in that trouble to begin with!

And when she hears Rodrigo say he'd spank her if she wasn't too big to fit on his lap,Nidoqueen would feel pressured by her own concience to tell him about Minimize.....but she'd still plead and whine as much as the cubs she spank while over her trainer's lap getting a butt warming! ^_^
