The book is called "Planetron and Me", and it concerns a kid who gets a toy robot names Planetron who can turn into a fully working spaceship that takes the protagonist on a journey around the solar system. I don't think so, unfortunately. It's been decades since i had the book, and i haven't been able to find scans or excerpts on-line. There are hard copies for sale on Amazon and the like.

Its available on Amazon Kindle, in tbe US at least, for $0.99 along with its sequel 'Adventures Beyond the Solar System: Planetron and Me'. They're pretty fun stories about astronomy. The droid A-2-Z gets the 'electronic spankings' in the first book. Unfortunately, shes well behaved in the second.
