Henry waited until Leo had buckled up, before he started driving.

"Cursing isn't nice, nor is it proper. I'm afraid I won't allow it. It's generally a bad habit to have." Henry explained, especially for someone as young as Leo. He would ignore the way the blond-haired boy had rolled his eyes at him, for now.

He drove out of the parking area and swiftly made it on to a main road they would stay on for quite some time.

"Once we get home, I'll give you a tour and then we can sit down and have a talk over some lunch. I'm sure you'll have a bunch of questions, and we have some stuff to go over as well." he smiled, though, the stuff they would go over likely wouldn't go down too well with Leo, and he knew that... A list of new rules and chores he would have.

"What kind of rules?", Leo asked. He hated rules. They tend to ruin everything. It was not like he followed rules very well, or even cared about them. But breaking a rule would always end in trouble, and that means getting chewed out by some stupid adults. Or worse, it would be as boring as a detention or no tv or something like that.

"And do I need to attend a new school? My current school sucks. My mathteacher is a total bitch!"

Henry raised an eyebrow. He hadn't announced that they would be going through rules, yet. It seemed almost as if Leo read his mind.
"Well rules and stuff, yeah. They're necessary for any household. We'll go through that later." the 27-year-old smiled softly, turning off onto the highway.

"Now what did I say about watching your language, Leo? Let's make that the first rule. No cursing." He said a little more firmly.

"And yes, you will be attending a new, private school. One that is quite prestigious and nice. The teachers there are all top of the line, and I've already spoken to them. They'll give you all the help you need." Henry replied, knowing how poor his previous school had been...

Leo rolled his eyes again. "I have a saying in this whole rulestuff, right? Or are you just like the suckers in the orphanage who naged about everything? And what do you mean with private school? Not something with uniform, right? These guys look like total jackasses."

Leo thought that he have to show some dominance here. He will have a saying in this rules!

Henry didn't notice that Leo rolled his eyes this time, seeing as he had to be focused on the road and what was ahead of them, though he really didn't appreciate his tone, language and attitude. He was clearly testing the boundaries of what he could get away with, or trying to show that he wasn't just some kid he could boss around and tell what to do... That wasn't going to fly.

"Leo. Watch your attitude and language, young man." Henry said somewhat sternly, and certainly had a more dominant and strict aura about him, if not even scary aura, when he was stern. As opposed to the caretakers.

"No, the school you'll be attending doesn't have a uniform, but it does have a dress code. So you can't dress in anything you like at all times." Henry explained, speaking with a more calm tone of voice now.

Leo huffed and crossed his arms. He looked at Henry, who was focused on the road. That man doesn't seem to let it slip if he was stubborn enough. Should he try to pressure it further? Would that man maybe bring him back to the orphanage?

Well, if that was the man was like, he could speed things up. It was likely to happen anyway.

"I'm 12, I curse whenever the goddamn I want!", he said, trying to sound brave. But his voice cracked a little, with the fear of the next person leaving him.

Henry wasn’t actually angry or anything. He had expected this to happen rather early on. He even remembered doing it himself back when he was first adopted as well. And not only that, but he did notice how Leo’s voice cracked.

The 27-year-old sighed.
“Leo. I wasn’t born yesterday, I know you’re testing boundaries and limits, but drop it. You are not going back to the orphanage, if that’s what you’re thinking.” Henry assured him.

“But you’re not allowed to curse, either. All you’re doing is getting yourself into trouble, and when you get into trouble, there will always be consequences. So now, last chance. No more attitude or cursing. Do I make myself clear?” Henry spoke with a firm tone, but clearly not angry or anything.

Leo rolled his eyes again, not even realizing that Henry couldn't see it. Yeah, he knows consequences. He was used to beeing bored in detention or timeouts. But he hated to be stuck inside, like being grounded or sent to his room. At least, it's still summer.
"What kind of consequences?", he asked. "Like no TV or something like that? You have a TV, right?"

“I don’t think I will ground you too often, no, as I want you to be outside and socialise with friends. Though I may take your game console, laptop, TV cord, and so on away. I will mainly use other forms of punishment, though.” Henry explained, without going into detail about what that was, specifically.

“We have a TV in the living room, and you have one in your room too.” Henry replied as they pulled off and onto a smaller road, leading into Leo’s new neighbourhood.

His eyes went big. "I have a TV in my own room?! And I will get a game console? And a laptop too?", he shouted. Maybe living with Henry wasn't that bad after all.
"This fucking rocks!", he shouted, more enthusiastic, totally forgetting about his earlier thoughts and what Henry said just a few seconds ago.
He noticed his mistake "Shit", he mumbled to himself.
