I say this with the intention of being helpful since I see this bumped every month: asking someone to commit to a roleplay for years is extremely daunting. It also sounds like you have very specific expectations of how your partner writes their character, which roleplayers never like. The freedom to determine how your characters act is half the fun of this hobby. Maybe a more causal approach would be less intimidating?

Thank you. I appreciate that and will consider and see if I can make the approach more casual.
But it's important to understand that this RP would base on an existing canon story and canon characters. They are adapted in order to give us more freedom and to fit into a more realistic universe - but nontheless with the intent of sticking to the canon characters' spirits. Because if we abandoned that intent we might as well just go for completely original characters in a completely original setting. But that's not what I'm looking for.
As in this isn't supposed to be a totally original mother-son RP. This is supposed to be a Peter Pan and Wendy RP. That's why I felt I need to establish Wendy's character's nature/base more strongly. For the other player to flesh out and further vision the character from. I believe there's plenty about Wendy and her behaviours left for her player to determin before and during the RP. Especially as she isn't just a parent but a whole person and I too will have adult characters for her to interract with as well.
I did not and do not expect to find a partner quickly exactly because a canon base unavoidably creates some limitations. And a barrier of entry for those who prefer to be familiar with the source material when taking up a request whilst the original Peter Pan isn't mainstream.
As for asking to commit to an RP for many years, there are plenty of people who are happy to do so and don't find it daunting at all. I've already found four such people even on this site. And as that kind of partner is what I need for this RP, that is the kind of partner I need to wait for no matter how long it takes.

To be fair, I don't know if you'll ever find someone for this prompt on AOTK. I know we have a diverse group of users here, but I think most of the roleplayers aren't in the demographic you're looking for anyway. I'm 30, the lowest age you'll consider for a partner, and I get the impression most of the RPers here are around my age, give or take a few years, or younger than me. That assessment is based on the subjects they write about. There's nothing wrong with wanting an older writing partner. AOTK does have some older writers (but they're not terribly active.) I'm just telling you that most of the people who see your thread here not the ones you're looking for. Not to mention, anime and cartoon roleplays are king here. If you were looking for the Disney version of Peter Pan, you'd probably have some takers, but that's not what you're looking for.
I guarantee you people generally find the idea of committing to a story for years daunting. You don't because this is a prompt you've clearly put a lot of thought into and want to do badly. I've done a lot of roleplays, and even with the most enthusiastic players, the average lifespan of a roleplay is about a month, in my experience.
But hey, if you're holding out for that one in a million, more power to you. By no means do you have to take my advice. Just trying to be helpful. AOTK is probably not the right venue for this though. I wish you luck.

I have to admit though, your dedication is admirable.
Also like was mentioned above, this may not be the best place to look for, but i met a few older roleplayers on discord of all places, so you might try your luck there.
Best of luck~ ^w^

Thank you.
But I'm not at all discouraged and haven't been.
Currently I have two writing partners well above age 30, both found from this site on this recruitment section and both clearly committed to many years on the RPs we have going on. One of the RPs has been on for 3,5 years so far and the other is on its second year. With no signs of anyone losing interest at all. As in these RPers may be rare on this site but evidently not at all impossible to find. They may not be actively posting here but it doesn't mean they aren't actively reading posts and RP recruitments. So I don't believe this aspect is the one-in-a-million thing. But their relative rarety here is one of the reasons why I keep this thread on the first page as much as possible.
I would consider a writing partner under the age of 30 if everything else would be a really good match. Like if you felt like you'd be a near-perfect fit other than your age then the age wouldn't be a deal-breaker. I didn't put this in the recruitment post itself because I reckon it's a good test of true interest amount. As in those who feel like a very good match and are deeply interested and willing to commit for years are likely to contact me despite of not meeting the age requirement. It's happened many times before in my various recruitment threads.
I'm 100% certain that the only problem with this particular recruitment is the non-mainstream fandom-aspect as in that there aren't many who are familiar with the book whilst most people aren't comfortable hopping into a project where they aren't familiar with the source material. In that sense I know I am waiting for the one-in-a-million. That actually is another reason why I am bumping this thread so often, as in I know the only way I have any chance of finding someone suitable is to keep this on the first page as much as possible.
