Severa just rolled her eyes but did as she was told and bathed and went right to bed. The next morning she was up and sitting in the living room. She sat on the couch with her brother Morgan next to her. Morgan looked at her grinning "Youre in sooo much trouble!!" he sneered as he grinned a bit. He then held his side as he started to laugh. Severa leaned over to him and as hard as she could she punched him in the arm. "Ow!" yipped Morgan as tears started to well up in his eyes as he felt his arm pulsing from the super hard punch "Youre an idiot!" he shouted. Severa then rolled her eyes "Takes one to know one..." she said solemnly. Morgan than ran up to his room and slammed his door and laid on his bed

Cordelia, who had just risen and bathed not long ago, heard the slamming from down the hall. She sighed, wondering what in the world happened now. She padded down the corridor and knocked on his door. "Morgan, dear? Is everything all right?" Usually sulking like this meant he and his sister had just had an argument, she knew.

Morgan than open the door and looked at his mother holding his arm now a big red welt on his arm. It was noticeable because he had his shirt off. He sniffled tears streaming down his face "Severa just punched me really hard mommy" he whimpered as he wiped the tears from his eyes. He then went to sit on his bed as he just sulked a bit his shoulders slumping. Severa sat downstairs and read about a tournament. She loved reading about people battling which made her really happy. She smiled as she read about a man brutalizing another man on the screen

Cordelia thought this was a bit of an overreaction, given that Morgan was currently in the process of learning swordplay from his mother, which wasn't gentle. Still, she took him to the bathroom and applied a salve to his arm. "Must you two still fight at your age?" she asked, shaking her head. "It was one thing when you were children, but it's a bit much now, don't you think?"
Cordelia sent Morgan off to his room and knocked on the door to Robin's study. They needed to talk to Severa together about her stunt last night. The tactician put away her books and joined her in the living room. "Severa? Put the book down, please. We need to talk about last night."

Severa sighed and put the book down. She looked up at her two mothers solemnly and waited for them to start their lecture which they often did. She had heard it a million times and she just learned to tune it out and think about battle while she stared at them just nodding quite a bit. She was maybe listening a tiny bit but other than that she paid it no mind figuring they would ground her again which was happening quite often. She sat there putting the book beside her and crossing her arms over her chest

"We know you don't want to become a Pegasus Knight, dear. And that you're not interested in joining the Shepherds," Cordelia added. The fact that her only daughter didn't want to follow in her footsteps and join the knighthood as Cordelia, her mother, and her grandmother had all done had depressed her for a long time, but she'd eventually come to terms with it. "But you can't go off and take mercenary jobs alone. It's a good way to end up missing or... worse."

Severa just looked at her "Yea well its not like you guys would miss me anyways..." she said grumbling under her breath. She then looked up at her mother "Im 15 now and I can do whatever I want!!" she said poking out her chest trying to act tough "Youre NOT the boss of me!!!" she said trying to show dominance. She then stood up looking at them both "You two are crazy if you think you can just boss me around!" she said clenching her fists her temper getting a hold of her again "All you two care about is your fucking self!!" she said crossing her arms over her chest defiantly

"Until you turn eighteen, we are very much the bosses of you," Cordelia said sternly. She took her by the shoulder and sat her back down. "All we're asking you is that you stop being so careless with your safety. If you want to battle, we're not stopping you. Join the Shepherds. Even enter the Khans' tournament in Regna Ferox if you want. But you cannot go out alone, and that's final."

Severa sighed and rolled her eyes "Fine whatever" she said as she sat back on the couch. She then looked at them both "Can I go now?" she asked looking quite annoyed. She put her feet up on the living room table as she also put her hands behind her head in a fashion that looking relaxing. She then blew a strand of hair out of her face as she waited for her mothers answer or for them to dismiss her at some point

"No. We're not finished." Cordelia said strictly, not for a second believing the message had gotten through to her daughter. She took a seat on the couch next to her, taking her chin and gently moving her face so that their eyes were meeting. "Severa. We know you're a capable warrior and that you... don't necessarily want to follow the same path as we did. But the fact that we've had to tell you more than once to give up this mercenary stunt is unacceptable. You don't listen. And we're going to need to punish you for it."
