I totally forgot The Headmaster when I posted that. They don't publish $/month and it's difficult to estimate given the presence of the $1 garbage tier but I don't think most people go in for the garbage tiers. If he is averaging $5 per then yeah, that's really tempting money to quit your job and focus on development. But I'll also say that it would be a difficult proposition for me even at that $ figure, because he needs to either keep adding content to his existing game (which will typically yield diminishing returns, especially with a porn game) or pivot to a new project (which is very high risk and risks losing a huge number of subscribers.)
Dicktator though I didn't forget... But it's smaller and much more multi-fetish than the other two, I wouldn't call it a spanking game at all. Headmaster is like 90% a spanking game, CMA varies but from my memory all the chapters are all 40-60% a spanking game... And then Dicktator from my memory is like 10% a spanking game. And while that's more than your average sex game (which lots and lots of them do have 1 spanking scene) I still would not call it a spanking game... I do like it, though, and will probably replay it when he finishes the game because even though I'm definitely a spanko as I've gotten older I've gotten more into BDSM themes in general which the game is definitely heavy on (BDSM game might even be more accurate than multi-fetish, but I'd have to replay it to give my own opinion because I really don't remember what was or wasn't included).
But yeah, end of the day... However many games there are where creators earn a decent amount of money, none of them have earned 'pay other people and take big risks' money.
Another honorable mention in the 'not a spanking game but has a decent amount of spanking in it' category is Masters of Raana. I think the creator of that uses something other than patreon and it paywalls some unnecessary features in the game (mostly cheat/semi cheat stuff) to drive subscriptions and I don't know how much he makes but I'm guessing from the level of activity on the forum I found it on that it's fairly big. (Oh and Degrees of Lewdity has a moderate amount of spanking as well... that game is definitely multi-fetish, though, and a big trigger warning on it to anyone who is sensitive to or horrified by pretty much anything.)
