After awhile Michaels crying soon subsided and turned into quiet sniffling over his mentors lap,"Mm sorry sir." He said sadly as he reached up to wipe away his tears,"I understand if you wish to not train me." Since was sure the man was very cross with him.

"You will be." Brutus replied and hardened his heart before continuing to land sharp stinging smacks all over the boys backside,"You are not to take things from others especially me young man." He lectured, landing a smack to his thigh. He raised hid knee and began smacking the sensitive under curves.

Richard blinked and slowly lifted the boy up and fixed his pants. "What are you talking about? I will still train you." He said as he fixed him up and wiped his eyes. "I'm not going to get rid of you just because you ate a couple apples, but I believe I made sure that you wouldn't touch them again? Correct?" He asked as he gave the boy a soft smile.

It didn't take Cain long to start bawling as he kicked his legs. "Ow!! I'm sorry! I won't take anymore, I promise! I promise!" He sobbed out as the horrible smacks came down more. He began to cry more as his undercurve was spanked and tried to squirm away.

Michael sniffed and slowly smiled at that,"Yes sir I promise I won't touch the apples ever again!" He promised holding his hand up as he gave the sign people gave in the kingdom when they made a promise or oath. He reached back to rub his stinging bottom,"Can we go train some more now?"

Brutus, seeing the boy was a blubbering mess decided the boy had learned his lesson. He landed one final smack before gathering the boy in his big strong arms and held him close,"Shh all done now Cain." He assured gently as he rubbed circles in his back to soothe him.

Richard looked over at the boy as he gave his oath and gave him a small smile. "Thank you Michael, that means alot." He said as he gently patted his head and began to lead him out. "Well if you're sure you can do it then we can continue, but to warn you, we will be fighting." He warned as he lead him back to the training ground.

Cain sobbed, crying into his hands as he was picked up and held. "I'm so sorry...please don't get rid of me as an apprentice! I don't have anywhere else to go." He cried sadly.

"Your welcome sir." Michael replied when he was thanked for giving an oath not to take any apples that did not belong to him. He smiled and followed him out,"Okay but maybe I will do good. I wrestled all the time with my friends." He explained as they walked back to the training grounds.

Brutus continued to rub circles,"Now now I would never get rid of you over something like that. All is forgiven and forgotten." He said and looked down with a sad frown,"No where to go? You...are an orphan?" Come to think of it the boy did look underfed not to mention his clothes were rags.

Richard nodded as he turned to Michael and balled up his fist. "Let me see what you're made of Michael, come at me with all you've got and once we see where you are, I'll teach you something." He assured him as he got in a stance and prepared to be charged at by the boy.

Cain looked at Brutus with sad eyes before looking away. "My mama and papa died of sickness...It was either get an apprenticeship or go to the orphanage...I didn't want to go there. I was going to use the money to buy bread and soup, but I felt so bad for taking it, I was going to put it back." He said as he opened his hand to give him the gold.

Michael looked up at him,"With all I got?" He questioned sounding unsure for a moment, but then got a determined look on his face and took a few steps back before charging at his opponent. Going for the knees since he knew from wrestling that was a weak point. He went to kick him in the knee or atleast headbutt him in the stomach.

Brutus listened with a sad smile. Despite being big and scary looking he had a soft heart. So he immediately took pity on the boy,"Well you won't be getting any money for soup and bread." He said as he took the money and put it back then turned with a serious look,"Because your going to be staying here with me to have beef and fresh vegetables." He smiled at him. He had always wanted an apprentice, but he had wanted a son even more.

Richard watched Michael come, his reflexes were slow so he easily dodged and grabbed the boy by his midsection and dropping him to the ground. Not too hard of course, but just enough. "You left yourself open for an attack Michael. You have to be prepared and look harder. Things are not always as they appear." He said as he helped him back up.

Cain was quiet, expecting to be sent off as Brutus took his money away. It wouldn't be the first time he would have to go without a meal. However he was surprised when He was told he would be getting beef and vegetables with him instead. Cain gave a small smile and nodded as he rubbed a few small tears from his eyes. "Yes sir.."

Michael knew wrestling a knight would be different then wrestling a friend. However, he was still surprised he did not even lay a hand on him before he found himself in the dirt. He got back to his feet,"Yes sir." He said when told not to leave himself open. He got up and went back to his starting place. Before charging again this time keeping an eye out for any movement from Richard. He ducked and dodged when he went to grab him and punched his knee cap to make him fall.

Brutus smiled,"Now be a good lad and follow me." He said and lead him to his kitchen since his workplace was also his home,"Get some bowls and plates out for us." He told him as he heated up the oven to cook the meat.

Richard grunted as he fell to one knee. He looked at the boy and stood back up. "Good, you're learning. Now show me how well you can dodge." He said with a small smirk as got into a fighting stance. "Are you ready?"

Cain nodded as he fixed his pants and followed Brutus towards the kitchen. "Yes sir." He headed off and grabbed the plates and bowls, setting the table for them both. He smiled softly before standing back, looking at Brutus for anymore instructions, giving his bottom a rub from all the pain.
