Ass Attorney: Sisterly Bonds (for Nene)

"Damn, damn, damn!" The little teenager muttered in pure nervousness as she cycled her way back to the house. Maya Fey has been spending too much time with her friends and even had the ways to sneak into pubs. Currently, she got herself into a curfew set up by her older sister, who was she living with at the moment.

And now, she was over an hour late after her curfew and was trying to her home as quickly as she can! "It's late, so she must be in bed... She has been working her butt off all day, so she must be exhausted...!" She hoped it was true as she got off her bike and rushed to the front door.

Unfortunately for the very late Maya, big sister Mia was in fact not in bed and had been keeping a close eye on the clock. Seated with one leg crossed over the other on Maya's bed, Mia awaited her little sister to return home. While it was true that Mia had a long, stressful day in court as a defense attorney, her little sister always came first, and Mia rarely, if ever, decided to head to bed before Maya came home.

Hearing the front door open, Mia breathed in deeply, collecting herself so she didn't sound so irritated nor angry with Maya. At first it would seem that big sister had gone to sleep, as their home was dark and mostly quiet, though young Maya was in for quite the surprise when she would head up to her bedroom.

Maya ran as fast as she could to her house and grabbed the door-knob! But, she took a deep breath and released a sigh to console herself... She shouldn't get worked up that she's in a hurry. Of COURSE Mia was already sleeping. Day in, day out, of working in defence must have puckered her out, so what was the big fuss all about?

She opened the door slowly and calmly this time and closed it with such silence. The young teen then made her way up the stairs slowly, tippy-toe, of course but came across a few creaks that she had to lift her foot and flinch. Sighing as she was upstairs, she made her little walk to her bedroom door and took a long glance at her sister's bedroom door.

Oh, she was definitely sleeping even after her shifts, so she opened the door and entered her room, not at all expecting her sister to be there!

Mia kept her eyes on the door, and when her little sister opened the door and came into her room, Mia reached over, switching on the light. "Welcome home, Maya. Care to tell me why you're so late getting home tonight? You were out more than an hour past curfew." Mia scolded Maya gently.

Off to the side lay a menacing flat-backed hairbrush that had often been used on Maya's bare butt. Mia hadn't yet decided whether or not she was going to use this hairbrush on her little sister, however. They needed to talk about this first. "Come here, we need to talk." Mia issued a gentle order, not taking her eyes off of Maya. It was no use to run away nor was there any chance she could talk herself out of trouble, no matter the reason for her lateness.

Maya saw that the lights were off and only had a moment to think how lucky she would be if her sister wouldn't be right... there?! Her eyes sprung open as the light turned on and gasped when she turned to see her older sister sit right there on her bed! The girl stood back with a panicked expression. "M-M-Mia?!" she said in absolute shock. "Uh, wh-what are you doing here?!"

She bit her lip nervously as she was caught red-handed by her older sibling, before her eyes widened at the sight of the brush. Not obeying her command, Maya cleared her throat. "Uh, good evening, Mia! Been sitting there long enough...? Uhh, nice night, isn't it?" she asked with a nervous grin.

Arching a brow at her little sister's usual antics, Mia chose to avoid the question on exactly what she was doing here. Maya should have known by now that Mia didn't go to sleep until she knew that Maya was safe at home. "Do you have any idea what time it is?" she asked firmly, folding her arms across her chest.

Seeing as though Maya was not obeying her command, Mia's eyebrows drew down in annoyance. "Maya Fey, you come here right now, do not make me come and get you." Mia rarely, if ever participated in this idle chit chat that her sister would try to engage her in shortly before a firm butt warming.

Her small grin instantly dropped down into a nervous grit of her teeth, as no matter she tried to change the subject, this wouldn't distract her sister no how. Even the arms crossing showed that her older sister was not even in the mood for jokes. Biting her lip softly, Maya slowly began to stride towards her older sister, looking down at the purple carpets the entire time. "It's after ten o'clock, Mia..." she said quietly.

Mia nodded in approval as Maya finally listened to her and approached the bed, albeit stiffly with her gaze on the floor. "That's right, Maya. What time did we set our curfew?" Of course, Mia could never forget the time of the curfew she had set for Maya, but this was just part of the gentle scolding and the talk they were meant to have before the dreaded punishment.

Keeping a light grip on her skirt, Maya avoided her gaze to not see the sterness or feel even more tense. "W-well, a lil' birdie told me it that it was supposed to be at nine pm sharp, no later..." she said, before her gaze finally met her older sister's. "Mia, I'm sorry I've disobeyed the curfew. I just had a stressful way working as an assistant and I never got the chance to meet up with my friends. Why does it even have to be nine anyway?"

They'd already had this discussion at least one other time about Mia's reasoning for an early curfew. "I understand you wanted to see your friends after a stressful day at work, Maya, but I would have appreciated a phone call. You could have asked me. I didn't know where you were. Your curfew is at nine because it gets dark at nine, and I'm not sure if I trust all of your friends... You smell like a pub." Mia originally wasn't going to mention that she smelled such a thing on her little teenage sister, but it was quickly growing in importance.
