I've come to accept that and mitigate those risks with team alignments. But when my second in command breaks formation and puts myself and another of our three man squad at risk it becomes a very stressful situation. But until you are put in charge, you are to listen to me." He noted before he moved around to her side of the desk.

"This isn't the Alliance, I can't have you court martialed and tossed in the brig, nor will our boss allow me to demote you in place of Jacob or someone else who knows how to work as a team. So I have to figure out an appropriate course of action for this insubordination."

Miranda's eyes went wide at Shepard's outburst. He was serious! And he was seriously considering getting her in trouble with The Illusive Man, this was complicated by the fact that she really was supposed to let Shepard lead and aid him, her inference wouldn't be appreciated, she simply couldn't let Shepard report her.
