Dean dialled the number and then practically tossed the phone at Jude before leaving the room and heading upstairs to his own room. Why did Jude have to be such a damn brat? No, this was his Dad's fault for making him watch him. Stupid John.

John picked up and frowned, "Dean, what's up?"

Jude huffed as Dean tossed the phone at him. "Next time I'll let it drop." He hissed at Dean, holding the phone to his ear. "Dean's being unfair." Jude said immediately. "He yelled at me because my homework was done but I've been working on it absolutely all night. Since nine o'clock last night. And then he spanked me for it and didn't hear me out at all." He complained to his father.

John groaned and sighed, "Damn it Jude I'm on a break from all this shit. Look I'm sure Dean wouldn't spank you without reason. Were you givin' him attitude? Cursin' at him? And I want the truth. Did you sleep in late? Are ya cranky? Ya sound cranky." he said with a sigh. "Just take the spankin' and get it over with kiddo, it's not the end of the world."

Jude sighed at his dad. He should have figured that his dad wouldn't stand up for him. He liked Dean and not him or Sammy, anyways. "I haven't slept at all. He yelled at me to get out of bed and the only attitude I gave him was because he wasn't being fair." He reiterated and shook his head. "No way. I don't deserve it!" He whined to his dad.

"Yeah well if you ask him to let you sleep a little, respectfully, then y'know he woulda let'cha." John answered softly and shook his head. "Go to Dean, explain yer tired and ya need sleep, and just say yer sorry, y'know Dean's got a soft spot for ya so maybe he'll let you off with a couple swats from his hand. It'll be alright bud."

Jude rubbed the bridge of his nose. "But I don't want to sleep." He sighed. "I need to finish the homework." He said exasperatedly, and then he sighed again. "Dean already smacked me with his hand." He said glumly. "And he's mad at me. He threw the phone at me and left." He sighed.

"Well Dean needs to get his act together, cause over the next couple weeks, he's gonna be watching you. Yer both gonna need to try and get along." John answered and thought, "Ask Dean to help ya out, he's smarter than he looks." he explained to him and then sighed, "I gotta go baby boy, be good, I'll be home in a few weeks." he told him, "Love ya, see ya." he then hung up.

Dean came downstairs a few minutes later and sighed, "We need to talk, Jude."

Jude sighed deeply, dropping his head a bit. "Ugh... Okay. Fine. I'll try..." He said uncertainly. "Love you, too. Bye." He said, hanging up and leaning on the counter, burying his face into his arms. He didn't look up as Dean came in.

"Dad's gonna be gone for a few weeks." Jude said sullenly. "I thought it was just a few days..." He sniffled and wiped at his eyes, tired of being lied to. He looked to Dean and just listened to whatever he had to say.

Dean looked at his younger brother and sat down beside him, "He didn't tell me that either, so don't worry." he answered and gently wiped away the boy's tears. "I'd rather not spend that time fightin' though...I'm sorry I overreacted...I was just...I dunno, tryin' to impress Dad fer when he got back...and I shouldn't have. Look pal, you need help, I can help ya. Right now ya need to sleep."

Jude sniffled and let Dean wipe away the tears that were suddenly streaming down his pale cheeks. He nodded after Dean said what he had to, suddenly practically jumping on his big brother, hugging him tightly and straddling his lap, burying his face into his shoulder. "'m s-sorry, Dee." He said honestly, hiccuping. "Will y-you lay with m-me?"
