The Blind Date.

Lana Molina sat by the window of Cafe Beau swirling the pretty pink cocktail with her straw. Every few moments she would check her phone. She was about 10 minutes early for her date, but she was still nervous in case he didnt show.

She stole one last check in her compact mirror. Her brown curls were pinned back in a loose half up/half down and she checked her pink lipstick. She was beginning to question her outfit choice. She didnt want to appear too conservative, but didnt want to reveal too much. She paired a navy blue sweater dress with some thigh high boots. Covered, but all her hugs were exentuated.

The bell on Cafe Beau's door jingled and Julian Mazet entered, savouring the mingling scents of strong coffee and rich deserts. He was dressed simply but with enough style for his own tastes. He wore a button up short sleeve, cream coloured and printed with the black outlines of conifer trees and pinecones, and blue jeans held in place with an elegantly cut black leather belt.

His auburn hair, cut in a loose medium length, spilled around his head. His green eyes darted around the cafe, wondering who it was he was going to meet here.

Lana's hazel eyes darted to the door at the sound of the jingle. She caught site of the man in the doorway. He was very handsome. He looked casual and but still dressy. Lana's aunt had always told her that a mans belt and shoes said alot about them.

Was this him? He was looking around. Lana tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and straightened her back. Her heart was racing.

[Cyrus]

Julian noticed a pretty brunette in a form fitting blue sweater dress sitting by the window. She was looking at him - could this be his date? He hoped so. He strolled in from the entrance. He was afraid to talk first - what if his date was someone else? Talking to a prettier girl would not be the best way to start a date.

Lana started to fidget with her bracelet. Wow. He was coming over. Should she stand? She put her phone away and returned to meet his gaze.

[Cyrus]

Julian decided to go for it. "Um, hello?" he said. "Are you meeting someone?" He smiled in a friendly, be-at-ease sort of way.

Lana was speechless. She stood, almost knocking her drink.

"Julian?" She stumbled a little to her feet.

Oh God! She thought. Too forward?

[Cyrus]

"Lana?!" Julian grinned as she got up to greet him.

It was her! He was pleased. He hadn't expected his blind date to be so... easy on the eyes. But what sort of person was she?

"Should I grab a seat at this table?" he asked.

"Oh! Yes, um.." she gestured to the seat across from her. "Its so nice to meet you."

[Cyrus]

"It's so nice to meet you," Julian said, sitting down across from his date. "So... Tell me about yourself, Lana!"
