Cafe Crossplay : Matthew Nikki Ollie Chefs Apprentice
: Nikki: "Matthew?" Nikki nervously called out as he entered the fabled Cafe Crossplay, looking around for the tall man. "It's Nikki!" Nikki was here to follow up on the job offer that Matthew had given him and he'd been told to meet him here when he had called the man up as soon as he had gotten home after their meeting. He wanted that job fairly badly now, especially as the man seemed to be
: Nikki: very nice and didn't at all care that he, Nikki, was quite eccentric. At least Nikki wasn't dressed as loud as he was yesterday, with a pair of tight black pants, a studded belt, and a simple black t-shirt with the logo of some band or another. Nikki hadn't even done up his make-up today, perhaps wanting to seem somewhat presentable because of Matthew's generosity.
: * Oliver hurried to the entrance with a welcoming smile, assuming Nikki was just an ordinary customer. They came in all shapes and sizes, not just pervy old dudes. "Hi there!" He chirped cheerfully, grabbing up a menu from the hostess counter. "Just you today? Oh, that's alright, we'll just have to keep you company, hm?" The mousey winked, and looped his arm around Nikki's. He chattered
: * Oliver away as friendly as he could manage, and it was soon clear how he earned so many tips in a day. With a flounce in his step, he started toward the seating area, that floofy layered skirt bouncing and swaying along. "Table or bar, honey?"
: Nikki: Nikki blinked when the mouse-boi came up to him and started to lead him towards the seating area. Nikki blushed a wild red, looking over Oliver with great interest. First of all, he recognized the boy fairly quickly. He'd seen him a few times in the apartments. Second, Ollie was wearing very cute attire, but not at all orthodox either. Maybe that was why Matthew didn't mind Nikki's own
: Nikki: choice of clothing. Still, Nikki couldn't find his voice for several moments and stood there rather awkwardly as Oliver's question passed over his head. "Oh..." Nikki said as he pulled himself back down to Earth, "umm... I'm... actually, I'm not here as a customer. I'm supposed to be meeting somebody here. Uh, for a job. Matthew. That's his name. He's a big guy. Tall." Nikki's cheeks : Nikki: couldn't be redder if they were on fire.
: * Oliver wasn't entirely unused to that sort of reaction. Some people just weren't accepting of what they liked. "Oh, don't be shy, come on~. We won't bite." He coaxed sweetly, as Nikki hesitated. Ollie, on the other hand, was so busy with work, and housework, and trying to be the 'perfect' sub in his new relationship, that he hadn't had time to notice much of anything, let alone a new
: * Oliver tenant in their building. He paused in his gentle tugging and sweet-talking, as Nikki explained, however, blushing lightly himself. "Oh... oh, well that's different, isn't it?" He laughed lightly, and let go of the kitty boy's arm, motioning to a set of swinging doors at the back of the room. "Ah... Let me go and get him for you. Just one little second." He held up a pointer finger,
: * Oliver before turning and hopping off, barely stumbling just once, in the set of thankfully short heels. stilettos would be a death sentence, and luckily his boss was generous, with the right attitude. "Matthew?" He poked his head just inside the doors and glanced around. "You've got a visitor..."
: Matthew: Matthew was currently in his usual work station in the kitchen creating all sorts of delectable goodies depending on what orders came in. He was also in charge of overseeing what the other workers in there did and helped out if there were any problems. He was dressed in a nice clean chef's uniform made of the latest technological advances in the clothing industry. With a Teflon coating his pure white uniform could certainly stay that way if he came in to contact with any messes. A nice little bandana type cap was nicely positioned atop his head along with that pearly white main being pulled back and combed perfectly in to place giving off a sleek clean look. He patted off his hands on a soft terry towel as Oliver stepped through the swinging doors of the kitchen. He had something special draped over one arm for Nikki. "Thank you dear." Matthew said gently and started that way shooing Oliver back out of the kitchen first before stpping right out in to the main area of the cafe. The tall male offered Nikki a smile from across the bar. It was sort of strange really Matthew never seemed to ever show his teeth when he smiled. He set a hand to Oliver's back and guided him right out on to the floor. "Do you think he would make a good assistant Oliver?" Matthew asked as if looking for the mouse's opinion. Matthew took up Oliver's hands and placed a powder pink apron in to them and nudged him towards Nikki. The apron had a huge rint of a chocolate cupcake on the corner but it was nowhere near as frilly as Oliver's clothing.
: Nikki: Nikki nodded his head to Oliver and then took a seat somewhere nearby as he waited for Ollie to come back or for Matthew, lightly playing with his tail in the meantime. When the tall man came out, Nikki beamed up at him and stood up again. "Hey, Matthew!" Nikki said, his tone unable to mask the excitement in his voice. Then, his eyes drifted down to see the pink apron and he shrunk down : Nikki: a bit, his blush returning. Was he going to be wearing clothes like Oliver? Nikki's gaze switched to the mouse-boi, looking him up and down with interest again and appraising his appearance in an attempt to imagine himself in the same shoes - er, heels.
: * Ollie tripped a little over his own two feet as he was guided back to the main floor. Matthew's steps were signifigantly larger than his own, and it was a little awkward to keep up. He looked down at the apron, and back up at Matthew, blinking thick false eyelashes at the chef, before he caught Matthew's meaning. "Oh, well I don't know..." He started honestly, before taking pity on
: * Ollie the kittyboy. "But he looks like a good assistant to me..." Shaking out the apron, he ever so daintily pulled it over Nikki's head. Walking around the other boy, he tied the strings behind him as well, in a neat little bow. "Very um..." He tried to think up a redeemable quality for the person he'd just met, and came up fairly short on job-worthy skills. "Cute." ^^;
: Matthew: "Well if being my assistant doesn't work out I'm sure he could help you and the 'girls'." Matthew said with a gentle chuckle. "He seems to love fashion." Matthew added." Kind alike Julian in the idea he makes clothing." Matthew was just spreading the word~ Poor Nikki. "Now then Nikki- Are you ready to make not only delicious treats but appealing to the eye as well?" He asked gently. "Decorated deserts, and gourmet meals?" Matthew asked. : Nikki: Nikki blinked as the apron was slipped over him and then tied neatly around him. Nikki looked down at himself and then lifted up the hem of his apron, feeling the material. Overall, he liked it. "Oh yeah! I make quite a bit of clothes. Fashion is my passion." Nikki smiled brightly, happy to be talking about clothes. "Sure, let's get to work! This has gotta be just like fashion design,
: Nikki: but with food, right?" Nikki asked curiously to the man.
: Matthew: Matthew shooed Nikki in to the back. "Not quite. " Matthew called before taking out a little note book and a small pen. "Oliver is there anything on our menus you've ever wanted to try?" Matthew asked with a s mile. "I'm rather curious as to what /looks/ really delicious. " Matthew explained a little bit.
: Ollie: "I hope that's the only way they're similar..." Ollie replied, with a bit of a pout. He didn't need another bossy-britches running around the cafe. He hoped Nikki had more taste in fashion than, 'add more frills', like somebody else around here. "Well, Good luck, Nikki. I hope you get the hang of it quickly... Don't pick on him too much, Matthew. ^^; It's only his first day." Ollie wagged : Ollie: a finger at their tall chef, and gave him what would have been a stern look, if the mouse weren't the one wearing it. He was ready to turn away and get back to work when the question hit his rounded ear, "Hm? Anything?" Ponderously, he tapped a polished finger on his chin, and rolled his eyes to the ceiling. "The crab cakes... ceasar salad.. chocolate truffle cheesecake annnnd a plate
: Ollie: of macarons and tea to start." He recited the large order, looking quite pleased with himself as he folded his hands in front. "But that's assuming I had the time off." ^^;
: Nikki: Nikki went into the kitchen when the man shooed him off, but once inside, his curiosity exploded and he couldn't help but to look around at everything while Matthew wasn't here. He looked at the various cooking utensils, thinking a few of them were very odd and funny-looking when he picked them up to give them a once-over, but he always gingerly put them back.
