As the Doctor was telling of how he had encountered his two boys to Madame Vastra and Jenny, they were startled by the sound of a great deal of noise from the kitchen. Wearily, the Doctor rose from his chair and entered the kitchen, seeing what he had been afraid of. Harley and Strax were in the middle of a heated fight, and had not seen the arrival of the Doctor and his friends. Glowering, he injected as much of a threat into his voice as he was able, before bellowing loudly:

"ENOUGH!"

He knew that both Harley and Strax would not wish to make him angrier than he was already, and hoped that his voice alone would be enough to stop them from fighting.

It wasn't long before Harley and Strax got into a heated physical fight, throwing punches at one another and it was fair to say that Harley's strength didn't really match that of a Sontaran's so he ended up worse off. He looked over when the Doctor bellowed, and he felt all but three inches tall...he'd never see The Doctor that angry before, and that was saying something because he'd seen him angry plenty of times.

Strax pulled away from Harley and stood, facing the Doctor, the fear evident in his eyes.

Harley stared at the floor, stomach churning. He hated being in trouble.

((This next bit may be a bit heavy, but I hope its ok))

In a cold voice, the Doctor requested that he be allowed to deal with Strax, as Madame Vastra was usually the one with the authority over him. Once this had been granted, he politely asked Jenny to quickly make some food for Lance, and to go and keep him distracted, while he dealt with Strax and Harley. After she had left, the Doctor focused on Strax. What he would do next was not something he would allow Lance to witness, but since Harley was an adult (and kept reminding the Doctor of this), he believed that he could handle it. While the Doctor was appalled, at what he had to do next, there was no way out. He had to do this, to stop Strax insulting Lance.

Striding up to Strax, he quickly initiated a psychic link, and effortlessly sailed through his memories, despite the Sontaran's desperate attempts to halt him. He brought up the time where the Sontaran had been assigned as a nurse, and had been indebted to the Doctor. While each separate incident would be enough to cause any Sontaran shame, the two together were almost unbearable, and he was feeling that shame all over again. The Doctor murmured to Strax, both mentally and out loud, so that Harley would also hear.

"Do you remember this Strax? How ashamed ye were at what ye had become, and being in debt to a man you regarded as weak? I taught ye how your role as a nurse could bring greater honor to the Sontarans than a warrior ever could, and that included lauding those the warrior would define as weak. By insulting my littlest boy, ye dishonor your race, ye dishonor yourself. Ye also agreed to obey me, as if I was your commanding officer, even after I released ye from your debt. Yet ye secretly still viewed me as weak. Answer me this Strax, am I weak now?"

At this last, heated question, the Doctor displayed his powerful mind in a rush of psychic power. Once Strax acknowledged his lesson, he would turn his attention to Harley.

Strax looked at The Doctor as he asked to be the one to deal with him, he didn't protest and instead just kept his gaze on the Time Lord, who looked so much more stern now than ever. He stepped back slightly as The Doctor made a psychic link with him but made no attempt to stop it. As the images were shown, the Sontaran let out pained sounds, overwhelming shame ran through him and he realized he had been wrong, that the Doctor saw the young child as a son of his own. He groaned and gasped making himself nod when the Doctor asked if he remembered what he was showing him.

"No Doctor! You are not weak!!" he roared out, falling to his knees and taking everything in, shuddering some. He breathed deeply, he had never known the Doctor to be so cruel, and yet he definitely respected him more. The Alien then left the scene to be alone.

Harley stepped back immediately after witnessing Strax's 'punishment' eyes wide but he didn't interrupt. He felt sort of bad for Strax as he saw the way he reacted to it. Once the Alien slithered off, Harley turned his attention to the Doctor. "Please tell me you're not gonna do that to me...." he pleaded, taking another step back.

Seeing how scared Harley was of him, nearly broke the Doctor. Yet he had wanted to show him that he would be fair when it came to punishments, and Strax had also been in the wrong. While the Doctor was still unbending and stern, his expression had softened somewhat.

"No my boy, I would never do that to ye. Strax is part of a race where punishments are harsher than what humans endure, so he is used to punishments like the one I just gave him. He would be insulted if I punished him any other way. But ye, I think that ye know what is coming next. I warned ye to mind your manners, I told ye to ignore what Strax said, even if he insulted Lance. I told ye that I would deal with it, if he did so again. Do ye not think me capable of dealing with Strax?"

The Doctor wanted Harley to fully understand what he had done to warrant a further punishment. It was not something he wanted to do, as that was now three days in a row he had punished Harley, but he would not allow him to get away with ignoring what he told him.

Harley nodded when The Doctor told him he would never do that to him and explained that Sontaran's were used to enduring harsh punishment like that. "Oh...alright.." he answered and took a step forward. He wasn't scared of The Doctor, he'd never be scared of him, but fear of a punishment was very real and Harley was feeling that right now. He winced when the Doctor said he knew what was coming next, and he felt his stomach tie itself in a knot.

"I couldn't ignore it...I'm sorry Doctor.." Harley answered softly and shook his head, "I do think you could deal with him...I just...I dunno, I wouldn't be satisfied until I dealt with him personally." he explained, "Lance is my little brother, I'm gonna defend him no matter what...and you're my Dad, I'm gonna defend you no matter what. I'm gonna defend you both until I die." he told him and looked down at his feet.

"I'm sorry....but that's just the way I am.."

The Doctor listened to Harley's explanation before nodding his head.

"Very well, I can respect that. If ye had come to me and told me you wanted to take up this issue with Stax, I would have allowed ye, but ye didn't walk away when ye could have done. I'm very glad that ye are so willing to defend myself and Lance, but just see if you can step back, and allow others to handle things sometimes. Now, come here."

Resolutely, the Doctor sat himself in a chair by the large kitchen table, beckoning Harley over.

Harley nodded his head and sighed a little. "Sorry Doctor...I'll try and control my reactions next time." he told the Time Lord and whimpered a bit when he walked into the kitchen, sat down on a table and then told him to come to him. He really didn't want to get a smacking but he knew there was no changing the Doctor's mind. He whimpered once more, hands going to his bottom and giving it an empathetic rub before walking over.

He walked to him and stood in front of him, looking into his stern eyes. "Do we have to do this Doctor?"

((Watched Doctor Who again and FIRED UP!

but found it a bit scary, so shouldn't have watched it before bed >_> ))

The Doctor raised an eyebrow, annoyed and impressed at Harley's repeated attempts to stall his punishment. It seemed that he was learning a few skills from him, and was clearly hoping that if he stalled the Doctor long enough, he might give up on the punishment. That would not happen, unfortunately.

He narrowed his eyes, allowing Harley to see how much he was starting to annoy him.

"Harley, either you come over to me now, and we get this over with quickly, or you continue trying to stall me, and make things harder on yourself. Now, what is it going to be?"

(( meh I actually didn't like that episode, I don't like Clara and it just seemed to be mostly about her :/ though the shrinking TARDIS was amusing XD ))

Harley winced when the Doctor told him that he could ever come over now and get it over with, or keep stalling and make it worse for himself. Neither option sounded all that great but the boy did eventually give in and walk over to his parent, hands on his bottom because he knew what was coming next. Getting a smacking was never pleasant, even less so when his bottom was already really sore.

"Doctor...I'm sorry...do you have to spank me?" he asked, looking down at his feet and whining a little.
