The Doctor grimly continued. He knew it would not take long until the spanking did it's work. Harley's façade of a stoic young man was most definitely cracking. Sighing he pulled down Harley's underwear. He hated having to spank Harley, who he was becoming found of, but he was so stubborn, and a spanking was sometimes the only thing that taught him a lesson.

Harley's backside was now a light red in colour, and the Doctor intended to make it even redder. He continued the spanking firmly, this time the sound of flesh striking flesh echoing around the bedroom.

Harley hung his head and hammered his feet unhappily, his resolve slowly fading because the spanks were just unbearable. Then suddenly the Doctor pulled down his underwear and bared his bottom. "D-Doctor!" he squeaked, blushing a bright red and then yelping with each smack. Soon enough the sting became more than unbearable and the young man began to cry, trying hard not to break down into sobs.

"D-Doctor! Oww! I'm sorry!! Please!!!" he called out, voice choked as tears ran down his red face. "Owww!!!"

The Doctor delivered a flurry of smacks before stopping, hearing the sincerity in Harley's voice. Still keeping him pinned, the Doctor looked at Harley's tear streaked face, before asking:

"Care to enlighten me on what ye happen to be sorry for?"

He dearly hoped that he would not have to spank Harley any further, as the Doctor hated seeing his companions in pain, even if it was from a punishment that was well deserved.

Harley lowered his head and tried to think about anything else but the pain, that didn't happen though and he ended up sobbing from the lingering sting alone. Right now he just wanted to go curl up with Lance in the big double bed. "I-I'm sorry because I t-took your Novel...a-and lost it....and I didn't clean my room properly...." he explained and sobbed a little more.

"I'm really sorry D-Doc..."

The Doctor flexed his hand slightly to get rid of the stiffness, before awkwardly rubbing Harley's back to comfort him and calm him down. He was really not a hugging person in this incarnation, and although he would do so if nothing else could comfort Harley, he rarely did. With Lance it was different, as the little monster would frequently latch himself onto the Doctor and wouldn't be pried off unless the Doctor hugged him back. He also would hug him after a spanking, but it was a lot easier to do so, because he was so much smaller.

Harley took deep breaths and then eventually got up from the Doctor's lap. He got the impression that the Doctor didn't really like hugging him, so even though he wanted the hug, he just decided to go without. "Night Doc..." he said softly before pulling up his boxers and trousers and headed off to Lance's room to cuddle up with the boy. He crawled into the bed and then pulled Lance to his chest, rubbing his back, knowing he was still asleep.

The Doctor smiled as Harley left the room, having a good idea of where the young man had gone. Stepping carefully over the pile of things that still covered the floor, he made his way to the console room, intending to set the next destination for a bookshop where they specialised in cleaning and restoring rare books. He vowed that he would attempt to learn how to do this himself, as it would save the additional trip.

Having completed this task, he patted the console and decided to check on Lance and Harley. He found Harley where he knew he would, curled up asleep next to Lance in the double bed. His expression softened as he gazed at them. His two wonderful boys. Infuriating boys sometimes, but they always had a place in his hearts. Even though Harley would protest that he was not a boy, in the Doctor's eyes he most certainly was. From the perspective of someone who was more than 2000 years old, 21 was still practically a toddler to him.

Very softly and gently, he brushed his fingers through the hair of both boys, smiling at how they looked so innocent and relaxed when they slept, when normally they drove him round the bend in their waking hours. Smiling again, he quietly left the room.

Harley sometimes slept in his own bed, but if he was upset or had just been spanked, he'd usually curl up with Lance and hug him like a teddy bear or something. He stayed awake for a little while before his blue eyes slowly closed and he just held onto Lance while he slept. He was a light sleeper so when The Doctor came in and brushed his fingers through his and Lance's hair, he was aware of it. He didn't say anything though but he smiled after The Doctor couldn't see him. Despite the old coot putting up this façade that he had no feelings...Harley and Lance knew otherwise.

The 21 year old went back to sleep and the next morning he woke up, he felt pretty sore still. "Ow..." he groaned and sat up before then getting to his feet. He tucked the blankets back around Lance and then headed into the Console room to sort of try and get back on the Doctor's good side.

"Morning Doc, got anywhere planned for today?" he asked softly.

The Doctor raised a brow at Harley's subdued greeting. Clearly the spanking last night had toned his usual cocky behaviour down, something the Doctor was glad of. He sighed slightly, at the way Harley addressed him. No matter how many times he corrected the boy, he always called him 'Doc'. It was certain that he did it completely on purpose.

Aiming a stern look at Harley, the Doctor replied to his question.

"Nowhere that ye would find exciting, I have to get my novel restored because someone, almost ruined it. So the TARDIS is taking us to a bookshop that deals with rare books. I am also giving ye the rest of today to clean your room. This time, I hope it is done properly, or I will make yesterdays punishment look like a few taps. Clear?"

Harley's soft smile dropped when the Doctor mentioned that he'd almost ruined the novel and he felt his stomach churning slightly. "Do you have to still bring that up...?" he asked sadly, feeling like he wasn't forgiven at all for what he'd done even though he'd been spanked and had apologized. He sighed sadly and just nodded when the Doctor threatened him about his room.

The 21 year old headed off to his room, unusually quiet and subdued. Once inside he started cleaning up properly and once it was done, he laid on his bed and decided to read one of his Harry Potter books. His plan for the day being to avoid the Doctor, and make sure the Timelord knew he had upset him.
