Lance glanced at the water worriedly. He was nervous about jumping in, because the water looked so deep, yet he wanted to have fun too. He also trusted that Harley wouldn't let anything bad happen to him. Still eyeing the water, he slowly stripped down to his underwear as Harley had done, before jumping into the pool.

The Doctor stood at the edge of the pool, also glancing at the water. He told himself that he wasn't sulking, he was merely....contemplating. Yes, that was it, he was contemplating if the water would be compatible with his Time Lord biology. He did this for a few moments, before he grinned darkly. A few moments later, Harley and Lance were drenched by a large splash right next to them.

Harley readied himself for when Lance jumped in, and when he did Harley caught him right away, only Lance's legs ended up in the water. "See, I got you buddy." he smiled, moving him round to rest on his hip. He then grunted as the Doctor jumped in and Harley splashed him back with water. "So, decided to join us huh?" he laughed before then carrying Lance to a more shallow part of the pool.

"Okay, I'm gonna lay you on your tummy, I'll have my arms under you, and you have to kick your legs and move your arms, alright?" he asked the little guy.

Lance obediently moved his arms and legs, finding this activity to be very strange. Even though he wasn't moving through the water by himself, he was still enjoying things, because the sensation of the water was still new to him. He was also happy that the Doctor had joined them in the water, as it was very rare that he joined in an activity with them, and immersed himself as completely as they did.

Treading water behind Harley and Lance, the Doctor smiled fondly as he observed Harley beginning to teach Lance the basics of swimming. Even though he had been annoyed by a particular character trait of Harley's earlier, now another of them made his hearts swell with pride. He was so wonderful with Lance, and enabled him to display the care towards others that he hid behind hi cockiness.

Harley chuckled a bit when the lad moved his arms and legs, and he made sure to support him as he moved through the water. "Kicking your legs will keep you above the water kiddo, we'll have to pick you up some arm bands so that you can practice without me holding you" he explained and then looked over to The Doctor, giving him a small smile "I'm sure we could find somewhere that sells em, right Doc?" he asked softly as he continued to move through the water.

"Do you wanna try on your own, Lance?"

Lance was feeling confident to try and swim without Harley's help, and slipped away from him slightly, kicking his legs fiercely and creating a great deal of splashes with his arms. He managed to swim a little way on his own before he started sinking.

Instantly a familiar long arm looped itself around his waist, anchoring him against the Doctor's chest. He heard the comforting double heart beat and the Doctor's deep voice rumbled through his chest as he answered Harley's question.

"I'm sure it will be easy to find some arm bands. We won't need to go many places to find them. "

Harley watched the little one carefully as he tried to swim on his own, his eyes widened and he rushed to grab Lance before he sunk but the Doctor seemed to already do that. He smiled and nodded his head, "Yeah pretty sure a lot of places sell em." he answered. "Why not zap me down to earth or something and I'll get them real quick?" he asked, plus if he happened to find something cool and dangerous while he was down there...that was even better.

He looked down at Lance, "You did pretty well for a first time, kiddo." he smiled.

The Doctor eyed him sternly, as Harley offered to go fetch the arm bands himself. He was wary about letting him do so on his own, especially since he was drawn to anything that might be dangerous. However, he was an adult, and if he got in over his head, it was a lesson learned.

At last he nodded in assent. Still holding onto Lance, the Doctor gave Harley some stern directions.

"Very well, ye can get them. Interface with the telepathic circuits, and the TARDIS will take ye where ye need to go. I'm trusting ye on this. However, if I find that ye put yourself in danger just because something looked 'cool', the spanking ye got last night will seem light compared to what ye will end up receiving. Clear?"

Harley nervously grinned at the stern look the Doctor gave him and he nodded when finally he got permission to go by himself. The bit about putting himself in danger for something cool and being spanked for it, went over his head and he brushed it off. "Yeah, yeah, I know." he answered dismissively and then ruffled Lance's hair. "Be good for Dad...or actually, don't, give him a challenge." he grinned.

He then heaved himself out of the pool and dried himself off, got dressed and then headed into the console room, putting in coordinates.

The Doctor huffed at Harley's parting, cheeky farewell, before turning his attention to Lance again. He would not show it in front of his youngest boy, but he was worried about Harley's little trip. Even though he trusted the TARDIS not to let the boy out anywhere dangerous, he knew that Harley would end up in some kind of trouble, as he always managed to find something dangerous, even if the location was meant to be peaceful. Well, he could deal with that if it came up. Now he had his wee lad to have fun with.

"Why don't ye trying swimming on your own again?"

Lance did want to try on his own, even though he was still slightly nervous of the water. He hadn't liked the sensation of sinking, and decided that he would go back to the Doctor when that happened. Slowly, he splashed around the Doctor, moving close to him whenever he started to sink. Whenever that occurred, he always felt long-fingered hands gripping his own, or an arm clutching him supportingly against the Doctor's chest.

Harley stepped out of the TARDIS once it landed on earth and he looked around, blue eyes wide and curious. It wouldn't take long to get a pair of arm bands for Lance to use, so he figured he could play around for a little bit first. He walked around the streets of London and beamed when he saw people signing up for amateur boxing. Hey he could do that! He signed his name up and headed through to the arena.

He looked over his opponents, they were all huge, muscly men. Uh oh. He stepped into the ring and tried to warm up, getting ready for the first match.
