CLAIM IMGS FROM THE UNKNOWN GALLERY POOL!

Hello, all,

I'm not sure if this is where I should put this, but then I couldn't find a better place to post it. Originally, I posted a topic that I had an extensive collection of anime spanking art from old aotk along with other sites but that I didn't archive by artist rather by my own tastes so I had no idea who drew what and so forth (except for a few artists I'm big fans of and see all the time.) So...I asked the admin what she wanted me to do as I could never separate and categorize it all because I don't even know where I got half of it lol. She said she'd create a miscellaneous album I could upload it all to and people would be able to claim their art and so forth.

SO... I saw the Unknown Image Pool today in the gallery section and assumed that must be it, so I've just spent the last 4 + hrs uploading about 400 images from all artists and sites including all anime characters and made up characters and... it's quite a potpourri of stuff. PLEASE feel free to sift through it at your leisure and claim what you produced and move it to your art section as needed.

I do have some more art to upload... but my mouse hand is getting cramped lol... so I'll have to do that some other day.

I thought about putting it there, only i thought people might only go there if they're looking for info on how to be better artists or how to use the gallery. I put it in general figuring it would get the most views there.

However if you or admin would like to move it, by all means

At a count from the first two/three pages I see art from at least 8 oldAotK Artists - including Rak, smallmew, CM_Zero and EMN. The last two who said they didn't want their pics uploaded because they were going to do it themselves.

With the exceptions of a few GameCG and doujin pics none of those are 'unknown' artists pics and I'd question if what you'd done was the wisest thing or the most helpful thing you could have done. ^^;; The pics are uncategorised, untitled and I think the artists whose work it is would perhaps have prefered to do that themselves rather than have to sort through twenty pages of unsorted pics to find it...

It's what the admin suggested... so I followed her lead. I don't know all of the artists or what they did so I can't categorize myself what should be uploaded and what shouldn't hence I asked the Admin if she'd rather I upload nothing or all of it. she said all.. so that's what I did.

If I've offended anyone or caused a problem, I am truly sorry, I was only trying to help build up the gallery and give people some images if they lost them from the old server believe me... if i thought 4 hrs of my saturday were being wasted by posting images.... i wouldn't have done it....

I sorted most images that I recognized that were by non-resident artists, but I can't find the source/artist of most of the CGs and a couple of images that I'm fairly sure are from pixiv.

I'll keep my hands off of everything made by resident artists.

I don't quite understand the point of the Unknown image pool though.
I thought the MO for resident-artist-art was to not upload it, and everything else should've just gone into "unknown artists", shouldn't it?

Well ya see, I don't know if resident artists produced the pics i uploaded, granted I know some of them, and maybe i shouldn't have uploaded those particular like smallmew/xerox/almond's but aside from those and a couple others...I don't recognize most of the artists works just by sight (theirs are very unique and they post enough that I know it at a glance), but the rest... idk did i get it from aotk? from some random blog i encountered? from google image search? from one of the myriads of websites i've come across? I have no idea, hence it's all posted and it might be from aotk and it might not, and if its not one of those few artists I know i really couldn't say either way hence it's all uploaded, cuz that's easier then trying to guess them all. If everyone would prefer, i will not upload the rest of my art collection, because it won't be any more sorted/categorized and I won't know if its resident or not any more that i did this set I posted earlier...

the pool is a simple temporary compilation of unknown artists, but I didn't want it in the unknown artist section if its widely known that certain ones belong in one of the non resident artists.
Rob or the other staff below him(if any right as the moment) will delete the ones that are sure to be from an "active community album" because its their choice to add or not add the images. The only exception is iloveforks whom is looking for his own work and hoping it doesn't get deleted.

If any members look in that gallery and see images that belong somewhere in a non resident artist album then they can visit that image, click on theR near the top, and type in the gallery. This opens a report and staff will move it.
