It made Tristan feel a bit better to hear that Noah had moments when he was scared as well since he didn't feel like such a coward after hearing that. He looked at the man and couldn't keep a grin off his face when he was prodded in the ribs only to be told that the first rule was that Noah was always right. "Except when you're wrong," he said cheekily, grinning at the man before hoisting himself out of the water and shaking his dark hair to get rid of the excess water. That successfully caused it to stand on end but Tristan didn't mind so much, the kid thinking that it didn't matter since he was just going to get back in the water anyway. "Ready," he said, sounding a bit more confident this time around.

Noah laughed at the cheeky comment and refrained from landing a play swat as he followed the man out of the pool and stood at his side. "Uh, which is never." he grinned and then looked down at the water. "Okay then, the water's all yours pal. Show that pool who's boss." he smirked, waiting for the teen to jump in first this time.

Tristan just rolled his eyes when Noah said that he was never wrong since that wasn't something that he was going to buy but he decided not to argue the point. Just in the interest of keeping things light and himself out of trouble. Tristan looked at the man when Noah told him to show the pool who's boss, the kid shaking his head as he said, "You're sort of weird, for the record." He wasn't saying it to be mean and there was no disrespect in his tone, the boy was just making a statement. After that Tristan turned to jump into the pool once again, the teen managing to do it this time without panicking and almost causing himself to drown.

Noah grinned and actually landed a playful swat to the back of his thigh on that comment. "Oh really?" he asked, smiling at him and then standing back to let the young man dive into the water. He smiled proudly, the kid was executing the action perfectly and he really was incredibly proud of him. He chose a spot and then dove in himself, grinning at the teen and splashing a small amount of water at him.

Tristan yelped in surprise when Noah ended up swatting the back of his thigh in response to his comment, the kid smirking at him as he said, "Really. Sorry old man but sometimes the truth just hurts." At that point he dived into the water, the kid swimming a short distance from the spot where he had entered the water and then resurfacing. When Noah splashed him with the water Tristan blinked at him and then retaliated, splashing more of the water than his mentor had done and he would have soaked the man if not for the fact that he was already soaked.

"Hurts you ya mean." Noah teased and then gave him a challenging look when he splashed him with more of the water, the man grinning and happily splashing the kid back just as much. "Oh you think you've got one over on me?" he asked, pulling him close and then tickling his sides mercilessly. He was enjoying the time spent with the young teen, thinking they should do something like that more often.

Tristan frowned when his mentor said that the truth hurt him but he decided not to pursue that one and instead just let it go, the teen splashing Noah with water. He grinned when he was asked if he thought that he had one over on Noah, the kid nodding his head but then ending up laughing as he was tickled relentlessly. "That's totally unfair," he protested through his giggles but there was no venom in his voice since he really wasn't all that upset about it. Actually he was rather enjoying this game that they were playing with one another since it was much preferable to seeing the stern side of the man, which Tristan thought he'd seen entirely too often as it was.
