[ Diary Of A Slave ] - My second RPG Maker game!

So...new version, huh? I gotta say this is one of my most favourite games out here.

Question tough: I'm sure I have an old version somewhere around here on my PC and I wonder if old save files still work. Can I just copy them and continue or do I have to start new game?

Unfortunately, since much of the systems code has changed, it most likely won't work, or work and be horribly broken. Give it a shot though, let me know what happens.

Just had time to play the entire game (I think), since I found the dryads passage and finished the slaves questline. I think there is no new content after 50 days, right?

I have to say... WOW!
Really impressed by the slaves's stories!
I saw a few empty beds in the slaves' rooms , I'm waiting for the new people !

 

I loved Aya backstory (they are all great), personally I would never have taken the mark from her, that action surprised me (that's good).
Now I want to see what will happen next! Will the MC gift Aya's mark to anyone? Will Zlata (Nobermark witch) cure him? Are there any effects on the MC health and personality?
Don't forget about this mark, for me it's the new focus of the story!

Also, I hope to see more from the other storylines too! Will Eden's boyfriend/husband return?Will someone else pay the debt to be free too?

Don't take these suggestions as orders, it's your game. I prefer a good game with a (few) good story (stories) than a game full of complicated and trivial stories/scenes. Don't lose your "touch" in writing to make long stories that not everybody will like, remember somebody plays the game only for the spankings.

Good idea blending the ingredients research with the storylines to stretch the dryads quest a bit.

I found the routine a bit boring, you do the same actions everyday and wait to see if something new happens... but hey, it's like real life right? No real complains, since I read from Patreon and from this thread that you have something interesting in mind...

Are you going to implement the idea about Jen's "wrong work spankings" somebody had some pages ago, that after some days of "wrong work" Jen will spank you when you do the "correct" work? It seems a great idea for me!

Also, looking forward to new (spanking) interactions in Nobermark and in the other cities, the portal idea seems great!

The random encounters may see some variety.... spanking-enthusiast monsters? soldiers patrolling the land? rebellious brats running away from the families? the game designer himself?

A quick question: are the work tools necessary to do the works? I played without even entering the tools building, did I miss something?

I found a bug when Nala was spanking my character for bad behaviour: at some time, her face changed to Kiki's one (and the text seemed like Kiki's) but after the spanking the "possession" ended

Good luck with the new part and for the tutorials! If only I had purchased RPG Maker the last steam sale...

For some reason that I couldn't figure out, The hole that was was supposed to lead to the dryad quest just would not work, it would just keep telling me to finish my errand even at day 43, I tried to activate the quest constantly and I don't know what I did wrong. And before anyone mentions it, this is with the latest version.

You mean you couldn't walk throught the hole in the wall to meet the Dryads?
Hmm, iirc even through all the dryads levels you can always get through the hole, if for no other reason than to fail again heh.

The only time I remember it being blocked, is the first time you go to the city, when you have to buy the mistresses clothes.

So if somehow that broke..? Maybe going the not buying the dress route (spending too much) causes it not to complete and then blocks that path.

Try returning with the clothing (day 7 ish) to the mistress and then visiting the town next day).

Thanks for the tip. I didn't consider that that might be the reason it broke.
I always used the glitch that day to get extra money from Jen, that might be what busted it.

That sounds like a bug I missed. I'll check it out and make sure it stays out of future versions!

I think I figured it out. I talked to jen multiple times, and got the pocket money multiple times, so I guess I got the quest multiple times, but I could only complete it once, so I couldn't get through the hole until I beat the quest another time or two, which is impossible.

If you've paid off your debt, you can travel to the halfway inn, and stay the night. Then you can travel back to Norbermark during daytime and give the clothing shop girl another 'madam's note'. You might be able to repeat this enough times to clear the notes out of your inventory to access the dryad quest line.

You make some very good points, yes the scenes are wordy, yes there is unfinished/vestigial content in the game. I'm sorry that you didn't have a good experience with Diary of a Slave, but it IS an ongoing project and an ongoing learning experience for me. A lot of the newer systems are less unfun than the old ones, and I'm working to make them better.

At the same time, please understand that this game is:
1. Unfinished
2. Free
3. Ultimately meant for one thing

But, all these points aside, I would encourage you to get a copy of RPG Maker and make something yourself! It would let you build whatever kind of experience you want to see, and then share it with the rest of the site, which I'm sure would make all of us very happy.

So, apparently you're making a game, and your standing assumption is that it's absolutely perfect, and people should not be allowed to criticize it at all.

Which raises the question: why are you making this game at all? It's already perfect! It was perfect the second you made the first commit.
