Julie lifted her head off of the pillow when the Doctor had told her to go to sleep. "I... but I still have so many things to ask you, so many things... to talk about." Julie argued softly, eyelids feeling heavy. The regeneration had taken a lot out of her and it was time to rest until the process had come to an end.

"I am aware there is still so much you want answers to. However, I will still be here when you wake up, and can answer things then. Things won't change just because you sleep."

It wasn't as if Julie could fight sleep forever, and with an understanding nod to the Doctor's words, Julie lowered her head back onto the pillow, closing her heavy eyes to sleep. "Well, okay..." she said with a sigh, voice dissolving back into a whisper. Julie decided to put her trust in him that he would be right there when she woke up.

The Doctor relaxed in his chair as the young Time lady finally slept. The longer she did so, the less trauma she would have to deal with. Clearly, he would have his hand full with the young lady, but that would certainly make things interesting. He only hoped that she did not question his judgement or anger him, he would hate to have to punish someone who seemed so fragile.

Around three earth hours passed until a curious knock came at the TARDIS door. It was none other than Captain Jack Harkness, who was still on the search for the young girl with two hearts that had run away from the hospital.

Julie was slowly waking from that nice nap and she opened her eyes sleepily, eyes scanning the room as if she was making sure she hadn't moved, and that the Doctor was still at her side. She'd hoped that hadn't just been a dream. Julie didn't want to go back to the place that she'd come from.

The Doctor smiled as Julie opened her eyes, slowly closing the 'Wheres Wally?' book and putting away the marker he had been using to circle Wally. About to ask how she was feeling, he frowned as the TARDIS let him know that a certain Captain was outside the door. Annoying timing, but he certainly wouldn't move! Rather testily, he sent a mental prod to the TARDIS, instructing the old girl to guide Jack to the medical area.

"How are you feeling?"

Julie breathed deeply, stretching her legs and back, "I'm alright, I suppose..." she replied with a thoughtful expression. Julie was still a bit tired from her regeneration, though she wasn't terribly exhausted. Seeing the familiar face of the Doctor, she was no longer afraid. However, she was unaware that the Doctor had just let the Torchwood man that she'd been running from into the TARDIS.

Captain Jack took it as an invitation when the TARDIS doors opened, and he looked around with an approving nod, "He's really redecorated," he said, before his attention was pulled back to the signals the TARDIS was giving him. He followed those signals toward the medical bay.

Folding his arms and glowering as Jack walked through the door, the Doctor snapped:

"You better have a good reason for coming here Jack!"

Seeing Captain Jack walk right through the door made Julie's hearts figuratively leap into her throat. It was the Torchwood man, and he was looking for her. Though maybe if he saw the girl he was looking for wasn't here, he would leave her alone. When the Doctor had his gaze turned away from her, Julie quckly moved off of the bed, hiding behind it instead. Of course, Captain Jack was only here to make sure that the girl was safe with the Doctor instead of dead on the street, and he'd leave her be.

When the Doctor folded his arms and snapped at him, Jack held up his hands, "Whoa, hey, I'm here because some girl with two hearts and two circulatory systems ran away from the hospital, right under my nose. Thought it might've been you but I guess I was wrong. Nice new crabby old grandpa face, Doctor." before he could look past the Doctor to the bed, Julie had disappeared.

The Doctor sighed, rubbing his hand over his eyes.

"Depending on what you want with her, I may know where she went."

Jack was his friend, but that didn't mean he would let Julie be going anywhere near Torchwood.
