I absolutely have wanted to make a thread on this before but never have. I'm really not sure what kind of a reception it would get.

Since we can't post photo's, I cannot do more than link to youtube and others and ask you to go check this out.

Essentially, its a Japanese TV show called Gaki no Tsukai ya Arahende, starting two japanese comedians, Matsumoto and Hamada. They occassionally get on three other comediens to join them; Yamasaki, Tanaka and Endo.
Together, they take part in TV specials, segements and skits that almost universally revolve around them getting hit.

Most relevent to us, is the New Years Batsu Game - a staple of Japanese TV for a number of years where the cast absolutely cannot laugh or show any reaction for 24 hours while being bombarded by 'assassins' - other comedians, actors, stuntment and guest-stars intent on making them laugh.
If they do let out so much as a chuckle... then they are punished with a promt SMACK across the backside with an implement.

My favourite by a mile is the Hospital No Laughing Game. Anyone who found the highschool clip I posted funny should definately check it out - there's dozens of sites that stream it and daily motion has them all in multi-parts, google will help you find it~ I do highly suggest checking out the hospital one.

I remember seeing a part of the "No laughing in the hospital" episode as a GIF a few months back. I was completely unaware that it was a TV show at the time..! Seeing your posts reminds me that I really should check it all out.

It seemed as though it was filled with slapstick, so the fact that lots of spanking exists in the show doesn't really surprise me. It's also another reason to check it out.

But yes, the hospital one is a gaki - and its BRILLIANT. There's a long femdom segement in the anesthesia room that still makes me cross my legs even now~
