Gohan looked at the clock hanging on the wall with a sigh. He told his brother to be back on time for dinner. He was only 5 minutes late, nothing a mild scolding couldn't fix. But he hoped for the sake of his little brother's backside that he would be coming soon.

He took the duck out of the pan and started to cut it into pieces, so it would go well with the rice while he thought about it. It's not like this was the first time he was babysitting Goten, but it was the first he would do it for two whole weeks. His parents went on a second honeymoon, which left the older brother to taking care of the active 7 year old. And yes, this includes keeping an eye on his homework too. Often the most difficult part of the job.

Little did Gohan know how much trouble his younger brother was getting into. With his parents on an expensive cruise vacation paid for by the Ox King and Videl out of town with her dad to a judge a martial arts competition, the two brothers were home alone in Gohan’s house until his wife returns in a few days. With the two houses being so close, it doesn’t particularly matter whose house they stay in but it’s easier for Gohan to do it this way.

With Goten flying in the air back home, he has a giant handful of candy in both hands as his had a large chocolate covered smile on his faces. Dressed in his orange gi, he landed in front of his brothers home and used his sticky candy covered fingers to open the door

Gohan just wanted to get out to fly and search for his brother when he heard the door open. He turned around with a smile.

"Finally, I though I would need to...wait, Goten? Where is all this candy from? And did you eat any? You know you are not allowed any candy before dinner." Gohan scolded while he made quick steps towards his younger brother.

Goten squeaked as Gohan immediately began to look him over an immediate noticed the candy in his hands. As well as on his face and on his hands. “L-Let’s not worry about that! Let’s have some dinner!” He said with a giggle as he tried to walk past his brother, not wanting to explain he has no money

"Not that fast, young man." Gohan said, grabbing his little brother by the collar of his orange Gi. "I am pretty sure you spend all your allowance on a new video game earlier this month. Now how did you get that money?"

Goten gasped as he was grabbed by his collar like a mother cat would grab her kittens. He avoided eye contact and was playing with his fingers awkwardly. “Uhhh… I-I don’t know…” he said weakly, clearly hiding something

"Goten, do I have to wash your lying mouth with soap?" Gohan asked while he pulled his brother in front of him before he turned him around.

In fact he did that once before. If there was one thing Gohan couldn't stand it's dishonesty. Though it's not like the alternative would be that much better for little Goten.

Goten’s eyes went wide and he covered his chocolate covered with his dirty hands. If he’s lucky, a mouth soaping is all he would get. Living with his mom, Goten knows that being naughty only leads to a spanking. He’s felt the sting of his mom’s hand more times than he could count. He even overheard Gohan getting threatened with that punishment by his mom a couple years ago and he even saw Videl get her butt swatted a few times

“I-I was hungry and I took it!” Goten finally admitted, although he was very much still petrified with how Gohan would react

Gohan looked confused at first, before his eyes widenend in shock. "Wait, do you mean? Did you steal them!?"

His voice raised at the end, more out of shock than real anger. But his eyes clearly showed his dismay, and a hint of disappointment. His brother would never steal something, right?

“There was no one there and it looked so good!” Goten stated as he looked away nervously as Gohan got more and more stern with him. He tried to pull away but it was no use. “I-I was going to pay them when I got my money, not realizing how much money the candy really was. It was over a years worth of his allowance to pay them back plus interest. And that’s if he doesn’t get the cops called on him. “Plus we’re friends with Mr. Satan, I can just call in a favor and I’ll probably get them to give me more candy.”
