Years have passed since the defeat of Cell Max and after Goku flew off with Uub during the World Martial Arts Tournament. After a few years of strictly training Uub, Goku went off to Beerus’ planet once again. Now with Earth in safer hands; he now can train for much longer periods of time along with Vegeta and Broly. Gohan has been training more but has been busier then ever with his work while Goten and Trunks are away on university study. Trunks is planning to be the heir of Capsule Corp one day so he’s getting as much business knowledge as he can while Goten is learning architecture so he can be a bigger help on his parents farm.

During this, Pan was training daily with Piccolo. She has been training hard for as long as she could remember even if Grandma Chi Chi disapproves because it makes her sweaty and look like a brute. But she is determined to do her part and with her Grandpa Goku and Dad reaching heights she could never dream of, she has a place to aim to. Even if it takes her a life time, she is determined to show she can have a well balanced life and train to push your limits. For now, she’s still working to become a Super Saiyan. Her dad theorizes it may be impossible for her but she won’t take no for an answer.

Pan was currently on a training session, dressed in the iconic orange gi with a long blue undershirt. As she stood in the wasteland with Piccolo watching on, she was screaming at the top of her lungs with energy gathering around her. After what seems like hours, she falls to the ground and grunts. She punched the ground in frustration. “This is so dumb! I’m trying so hard! Why can’t I do it?” She yelled

With Cell Max defeated, peace once again came to the earth and Piccolo was once again got to his usual routine of training Pan. Watching her slam her first into the ground Piccolo sighed as he approached her. "Firstly because you're still trying to force the transformation. Going Super Saiyan isn't something you can force." Piccolo said knowing from experience remembering the times Vegeta was trying to force himself to ascend. "Secondly the form only comes from a need, not from a desire." He explained to Pan though he was unsure whether she would listen to his advice or not as she was more stubborn now than she was as a child.

“You keep saying that but I have no idea what that means!” Pan snapped a bit as she looked down at her fist, clearly dejected. She desires to keep her friends and family safe but it’s not working. Every time she tries to transform, she thinks of her family, friends, classmates and teachers but it still doesn’t work. She even had Bulma do an exam on her and she has no idea either

"What I mean is unless you are faced with a incredibly difficult situation, going Super Saiyan is going to be much more difficult than you think." Piccolo explained to her before going into further details about how others in the past unlocked it. "Your Grandpa only acquired the form after a villain killed his best friend, Vegeta only did so through sheer anger towards him to unlock it and your father did after realizing he had to protect himself and not rely on anyone else coming to protect him." Piccolo explained to her.

“It’s just so not fair!” Pan complained as she slowly got to her feet and stomped her boot clad foot childishly. “It just feels like no matter how hard I try, I’ll never get there! And with Uncle Goten, Papa and everyone else being able to transform, I feel left out.” She said with a huff. “And it’s not like girls can’t go Super Saiyan, Papa told me about the saiyan girls of another universe that could transform. Maybe I’m just unlucky because I’m not even half saiyan…” she said, hinting at a little resentment

Piccolo's eye twitched watching her stamp her foot but choose to focus more on the issue at her. "That shouldn't be the case. As long as you have saiyan blood within you, the transformation should be possible for you. The solution is to keep working harder to master your ki control." He said to her.

Pan was also getting frustrated once again as she stomped her foot once again childishly, creating a small crater on the ground. “Tell me what the hell I’m doing wrong then if you know everything!” She said, her frustration leading her to have a snarky attitude and tone

"Well for one, that attitude of yours isn't helping in the slightest." Piccolo warned the young teenage fighter. He then sighs thinking a break was needed before either of them explodes in frustration or anger. "Let's just take a break for now and we can tackle this problem later." He said starting to walk off to look for a place to sit and meditate.

I’m done!” Pan yelled as she approached the now sitting Piccolo and knelt down to poke him in the check. “I’m done punching rocks, I’m done flying laps around the earth, I’m done practicing the basics and normal energy attacks and I’m for DAMN sure done sitting on my ass and meditating!” Pan yelled at him, her saiyan anger taking over. “Either teach me something useful or I’m leaving and finding someone who can!” She said, a clear empty threat but she was that mad

During her rant in midpoke, Piccolo caught her finger and held it tightly before then holding it up. Clearly the namekian had reached his limit with the teenage girl and something had to be done. "How about I teach you a lesson about throwing A childish tantrum?" He question before pulling Pan down over his lap and pinning her down so she couldn't get back up.
