Could this sense of playfulness have been hiding within the female martial artist the entire time? Could it be that Bulma herself has awoken it, be it with this conversation and/or with the help of alcohol? Whatever the reason Chi-Chi further showed this playfulness by the rather mischievous sounding giggle that escaped the big bottomed beauty's lips when she saw and heard the reaction the blunette gave to her own swift swat. Though this, nor smiling as she listens to her husband speak oh how there is 'a lot of great food here', didn't do anyhing to lessen the red blush that seems to be stuck to Chi-Chi's face.The kind of red that Goku might've not seen since the time Chi-Chi tried to help her husband how to dance, in preparation for the first dance at their wedding, only for the pair to fall over...with her landing sat down on the male.

So there is no way anyone could feasibly blame Goku for being at least concerned enough to ask his newlywedded wife. "O-Oh y-yeah I'm okay..." the raven haired beauty tried to sound assuring and made sure to finish her drink before continuing. "I've just been talking with Bulma and she has mentioned something...unique..." the still blushing beauty carefully placed her empty glass down before bring her mouth close to Goku's ear so only he could hear her whispered out question: "do you know what a 'spanking' is?"

For someone who was raised without interacting with a lot of people other than his grandfather Gohan when he was younger, Goku proved to be a bit naive at times. However that didn't stopped from learning that Chi-Chi wasn't right, as usually when your face is red means that you either have a case of fever or there's a something else that is bothering you and thus he wanted to learn what it was. Quickly he was able to figure that it wasn't fever the moment he put a hand over her forehead and noticed that his wife was okay, as she even assure him that she was alright. Learning that made the black haired martial artist champion to focus back on keep up eating while he listened to Chi-Chi mention about a talk this had with Bulma, who brought something unique to the daughter of Ox-Satan and wanted to share it with him.

"Ogh yeah? Wghat is this?" Goku asked while still devouring every piece of food that he could put his eyes and hands on. At least, until Chi-Chi made him a question that the now husband wasn't expecting to hear, to the point that made him turn to see the beautiful young woman and confirm that what this just asked was what he thought. "A spanking?" Goku asked after swallowing a big piece of fried dinosaur he had in his mouth. "You mean that kind of things they do to childs when they do bad things?...Yeah I did, a girl named Arale once told me about it when I meet her" The martial artist champion said looking up and scratching the back of his head as he now remembered what the purple haired happy girl talked to him and among those talks this subject came out. He absolutely forgot about it until Chi-Chi brought it now, though now Goku couldn't help but wonder why it was his wife that brought up that subject.

"If I recall you get your butt hit, right Chi-Chi?" Goku asked without really minding the fact he was speaking loud enough for anyone that would walk by them to listen to what the now married couple is talking about. This ultimately showcased how Chi-Chi's husband wasn't aware of how certain talks or subjects could be embarrassing or awkward for some along the fact that Goku never got to experience this kind of things from his grandfather, who may be strict but usually in the way of using training as a way of punishment. Goku's naivety was something Chi-Chi had to get used to. Heck the first 'date' they had ended up being a sparring match because of some misunderstanding...though it did lead to the raven haired beauty being more willing to spar with her husband, especially since it gives her more time to spend with the love of her life. And moments like these, like when Goku would go out of his way to place one of his hands over her forehead to check that she was well before returning to his food, is another reason the martial artist feels such deep emotions towards the man she is willingly moving to a place of\ such a diminutive size...at least comparing to the castle she used to live in with her father.

Maybe it is from these feelings, as well as some words from Bulma and the alcohol consumed so far, that influenced Chi-Chi to ask about spankings.

A subject that has kept a somewhat charming shade of blush upon the Ox Princess' face. The same kind of face that almost looked slightly jealous when hearing Goku mentioning how he met Arale in the past, even if it was just to say how he know about spankings. Though said jealousy was only momentary as Chi-Chi couldn't help but feel her face redden at how casually and loudly her husband is asking his questions. "R-Right...y-you don't have t-to be so l-loud about it..." the birthday girl couldn't help but stutter out before bashfully moving onto his direct question. Since the moment that Goku got to meet Chi-Chi when they were kids, her now wife always proved to be someone with a strong attitude. Could sweet and very nice of course, but proved to be someone that you'll not like to see angry, just like how she was in the last Martial Arts Tournament, so for Goku to see his wife act so nervous and shy about what she wanted to tell him, was something new for him. What could be she be so nervous about this 'spankings', as while naive, Goku wasn't dumb and could tell that something related to this made Chi-Chi to be like she is right now: blushing, stuttering and looking quite nervous about it.

"Sorry about that" Goku said rubbing the back of his head and chucking a bit, not realizing how loud he was talking and that whatever Chi-Chi wanted to tell him, likely was something that no one else should know. Soon he understood why...or at least he thinks he did, as his wife told him about how there's a tradition where the birthday person gets a spanking and it's butt is smacked each time for every year that this has plus one to grow up. Something that was confusing to Goku as this never in his life got to hear or knew that a tradition like this ever existed.

"Really? Huh never heard of a tradition like that before, for what I understand that was supposed to be done when you did something bad..." Goku said still trying to figure out what he just heard from his wife, until he was actually able to realize an important thing related to it, especially when you figure that it's Chi-Chi is the birthday girl. "Wait...does that mean that you'll get your butt smacked, Chi-Chi?" Goku asked realizing that his wife should get a spanking like this supposed 'tradition' implies that she should have.
