Krystal stiffened for a moment and a few tears rolled down her cheeks as well. "Do you think I would do this just out of spite?" she asked gently. "Or just to see you hurt? No, I do it to teach you, so that you don't repeat the same mistake again. I can ask someone not to do something, and they can say they won't do it again, but nine times out of ten... they do it again. If you were to stand up on me again... I might not notice in time... and I don't want to lose you or Karuk in an accident..."

"An- an- an- and we dun wanna lose you either! So we'll be careful-" The wolfling twisted around to look up at Krystal, still wriggling and squirming on her lap "-I'll nev' do it 'gain! I promise!"

The wolf lowered his head respectfully. "C-can I..." The wolf wiggled uncomfortably, but tried to force his body to stay still. "I'm still all jittery from flyin'. I think I hafta kick, Krystal. 'm sorry-" His tail furiously shot back and forth, his ankles swaying around nervously, but, to his credit, he kept his body still for her. Another whine escaped the scared little wolf's mouth while he floated there, his little shorts-covered bottom tingling in anticipation over the dragoness' lap.

Krystal nodded and pulled down his shorts and underwear. "I know... Herne, I wouldn't expect anyone to keep from kicking or crying out annyway. "Shey gently pinned his tail down against his back and raised her hand. "I promise, this'll be a nice short one so that we can get right back into the sky."

He couldn't believe the words came out of his mouth. Stupid! "Rrrgh!" The wolf twisted his face back down away from Krystal, eyes screwed up tight, nose pointed at the ground. Why did he say that?!
