Physical Appearance: Quinn has a slender but fit build that’s a little on the short side. He has a heart shaped face with boyish features that make him look a bit young at times. He has light russet brown skin and startling bright blue eyes, along with a mop of thick curly black hair that barely brushes his shoulders. The front fringe of his hair is white naturally, a trait he inherited from his dad Namir (along with those blue eyes). He has had top surgery, as well as a partial hysterectomy and is happy and secure with who he is physically and emotionally. Quinn usually moves with a spring in his step, and a warm smile on his face.
Clothing Style: Quinn really enjoys modern witchy, fantasy, and biker type clothes, as well as hoodies and graphic tops. He favors black, grays, and white with touches of vivid colors especially electric blues.
Casual Wear- He usually wears layered tops with skinny jeans, and sneakers or some knee high boots when he’s dressing casual.
Formal Wear- He favors fitted turtlenecks or dress shirts with corset-waistcoats & long jackets, paired with fitted pants and knee high boots.
Pajamas/Around the House- Usually a light graphic tank/tee/sleeved shirt with long pajama bottoms, and socks. Sometimes he’ll pair it with a pullover hoodie if it’s chilly. Occasionally he’ll wear just the top over his boxer-briefs if he’s staying in his room.
General: Quinn is something of an extroverted introvert. He always tries to be polite, upbeat and helpful but he does prefer to get to know people before really opening up to them. Once he is comfortable, be prepared for one sweet (and surprisingly mischievous) cinnamon roll who will love you to death and want to share as many interests with you as he can. Quinn is that friend who brightens a day, even if it’s just by quietly being there. He’s also very honest and inquisitive as well as loyal. Once he has given you his trust or vice versa he’s a friend to the end. Quinn isn’t just sugar though, he’s got a good deal of spice in there too once you get him to open up. He is a bit of an undercover brat. ♥️
Loki- A small hellhound that looks like a black and tan shiba inu with dark blue eyes, that he rescued from the devildom streets. Loki is incredibly protective of Quinn and usually standoffish with others at first. Dangerous (breathes fire) to those he dislikes but an absolute baby with Quinn. Quinn has been teaching him not to be aggressive preemptively with people. He’s still very independent and tends to do what he wants. He very much earned that name.
Looking forward to a new experience and actually facing the reality of it were often two very different things, but this was without exception one of the most exciting moments of Quinn’s life. He’d finally arrived in the Devildom, and was entering the campus grounds for orientation. Everywhere he looked there was something to catch his eye, from the imposing and venerable looking buildings to the landscaping that surrounded them. He knew he was probably looking like some kind of tourist with his head on a swivel, pausing by a hedgerow to admire the unearthly and almost glowing roses growing there before casting his gaze upwards once more at the sky.
Inky black and speckled with what looked like stars, even though it was barely 20 past eight in the morning. There was no sunshine down here, but Quinn found he was too enthralled to find it unnerving. It was beautiful. And there was more than enough artificial lighting and naturally luminescent things around to keep it from feeling ominous or evil. A smile curved his lips as he turned his eyes back down where they belonged, narrowly pivoting around a demon student and avoiding a collision with an artless grace and friendly wave.
“Hey there! Sorry, just a bit new here.” Quinn chirped, looking up at them with a crooked but charming smile. Oh wow... were all demons this tall he wondered.
“You wouldn’t happen to be a Mr. Tarquin Kahlee would you?” He asked him; looking, if anything, a bit annoyed.
“Hm? Oh, yes I suppose so.” He offered his hand freely, still smiling. “But I usually go by Quinn.” He added.
The demon arched one brow at his friendliness, but when Quinn just kept smiling earnestly and didn’t pull back he sighed and shook his hand.
“Okay then Quinn, you should know that you were due at the dorms to be checked in at eight am and it’s now almost half past that.” He told the human, scolding him mildly.
“It doesn’t take that long to get from the portal to the dorms so I had to get sent out to find you and make sure you hadn’t gotten lost. Or eaten.” The demon added with a flash of his fangs.
Quinn felt his face heating up at the rebuke. Not to mention that the demon, clearly an orientation volunteer by now, still hadn’t relinquished his hand.
“Oh? Oh man I’m so sorry!” He apologized, rubbing the back of his neck nervously, his smile now more sheepish than chipper.
“I guess I got a little distracted on the way, since it’s my first time coming here. I’m sorry to have caused you any bother!” Quinn told the demon still towering over him and holding his hand hostage. A normal person probably would have started yanking away by now but... he didn’t want to offend him.
The demon leaned forward but continued to grin almost teasingly, and he didn’t relinquish the new human’s hand.
“Oh no, it’s no bother at all and I rather enjoyed stretching my legs.” He told him. He meant it too. Getting to watch this tiny human squirm a little was well worth the annoyance of having to track him down on the large campus. “But,” he added, turning and starting to tug Quinn along with him. “Maybe I should keep you close. In case you start getting distracted again.”
Quinn had little choice but to keep up with his student orienter if he didn’t want to look like he was being led along like a toddler. His russet skin was looking distinctly more rosy but he kept smiling with a nervous politeness in the face of embarrassment.
“Th-that’s very thoughtful of you but, I assure you I’ll stay right by your side! No more sightseeing, cross my heart!” He promised. Quinn was having to take two steps for every one the demon took, even though he was only moving at a light stroll. So much for first impressions. At least the guy seemed to be enjoying himself instead of being pissed off though.
