The invasion had come from seemingly nowhere. One day, all had been calm in the Human Kingdoms, when, suddenly, the armies of the Elven Empire had surged across the borders like a tide, their magics and superior technology overwhelming hapless Human villages.

One such village had just been surrounded and… well, one could say sieged it, but it wasn’t really much of a siege. After realizing that they were surrounded, and that the town’s walls would be laughably easy to destroy, a delegation had been sent out to negotiate surrender.

Joseph Collins was the designated speaker of the village, and he approached the Elven lines on his stallion, holding the banner of parley aloft. The man in his late 20s had short, curly brown hair and green eyes, which were filled with uncertainty and nervousness.
