Monday... some consider it to be the worst day of the week. Many consider it the best day of the week to take off. At any rate, it's often the slowest starting day, as so many are used to their weekend life. Perhaps that was why, when Jade's alarm went off, she didn't hear it, didn't wake up.

It was only at 9:30 - half an hour after school started for the teenage girl! - that her mother, just getting ready to head to work, happened to walk past Jade's room, noticing her dark-haired daughter was still asleep.

"Jade! Wake up this instant, what do you think you're doing?"

"So... a latecomer. Quite late, at that. You've missed the first class completely, better come sign in quickly. Look at that uniform, too. Come on in, we'll see if we can get you signed in and in your class before you completely waste the second lesson."

He made the way for her to head on in towards the front office.

"And have you a note, or will you be getting your bottom warmed up?"
