"Eat this!" he said as he blocked the angels attack with one of them, and stabbed the angels core with another.

"Retreat..retreat...retreat..." echoed inside of Tanners mind. He could only think of his first angel that he'd fought. The thought began to manafest as he started to scream and shout "NO, STAY AWAY! I DON'T WANNA REMEBER!" as the Eva writhed and kicked on the ground, Tanner started to visualise that horrible day.

The angel was a tall humanoid-ish figure with large arms and a long tail. Tanner had been deployed to combat it before it could reach the ocean and travel to Tokyo 3. He was deployed in the dust of the sunilight, alone.

"Tanner, you have to use the spark riffle to take his AT field down. If you don't do it then you won't beable to hit him!" shouted a scientist from the background. "Ok, were is the riffle?" asked Tanner. "Sector C-Q789, its on your left" responded the scientist. "All right" said Tanner as he took off twards the area with the riffle. The angel saw him and began to move in for attack.

Tanner reached the area of the riffle and shouted "Were is it!?". The scientist started to shudder as he said "I-In the storage r-room. WE FORGOT TO LOAD THE RIFFLES INTO THE LAUNCHERS!". Tanner was worried as the angel approached and reared its tail. The end of its tail looked like an axe, and Tanner was too frightened to dodge anything. "Retreat!" shouted the scientist, but it was too late. The angel sent the axe flying at Unit three. "CUT THE SYNCHRONISATION!" shouted the scientist. The others did so, but not fast enough. He had dropped into 40%, enough to feel pain, but not be killed. Unit three was sliced in two, from head to toe. He felt the axe go in through the top, and out the bottom.

As the pain rushed through his body again, Tanner fell limp...but the Eva did not. "Evangelion Unit 3's synchro rate has hit the roof!" shouted a scientist working the control panel "Its Berserk!"

Unit 3's mouth burst open as the Eva let out a horrid yell of pain and fury. Unit 3 turned twards the angel and seemed to smile. It then took off in a full run, and summersaulted into the angel, sending it flying.
