Wiping away his tears on his jacket, Dean gasped and sniffled, and breathing in deeply, he held his breath for a few moments before letting it out slowly. "...B-Because, I-I'm still too little a-and it was dangerous and I was almost k-killed....!" Dean coughed and choked out a gutteral sob, his body beginning to shake.

John was relieved ro hear the correct answer oass his son's lios, and that he didn't have to repeat himself "That's right Johnathan Dean. You could have been seriously hurt today, even killed, and i will not lose you. Do you understand me?" He swatted his sit spots with a passion now

Eyebrows drawing down in serious annoyance at the use of his full seldom-used name, Dean was about to whine irritably, but in favor of not making it worse, he answered his father's prompt. "Uh-huh..." Dean sniffled, hiccuping and squirming, "I-I understand..." Dean hung his head with shame for the nearly fatal mistake that he had made; the teenager was still rather shaken from having a werewolf right on top of him. Thankfully Dean hadn't been seriously injured and had only acquired a few bad bruises.

Dean kicked his feet, his crying ascending into something of a tantrum when the very sensitive undercurve of his rear was swatted.

Quickening his pace, John's hard, rough, and calloused hand rained fire upon Dean's sit spots, turning them red in no time at all. John continued his onslaught of swats to his son's dark pink posterior before asking the question to end the punishment. "Will you ever do something so dangerous, so dusobediant, so foolish again Johnathan Dean Winchester?" The tone if his voice had grown deathly serious, demabding an answer with the implied promise of swift correction should he not follow through.

Dean's childish tantrum-esque behavior was immediately silenced by the rapid fire slaps to his sitspots, a frustrated scream dying in his throat and the tantrum coming to an immediate end as quickly as it had began. A part of Dean had him feeling incredibly relieved that John had not waited until they were back at Bobby's to spank him, and he was grateful that no more than his father's hand made firey contact with his butt. Usually when Dean had done something this stupid and reckless, he would have gotten several licks with the belt.

Listening the best that he could do his father's words, Dean sniffled and hiccupped, peering over his shoulder with tears streaking his freckled cheeks. "N-Nooooo..." he answered his father before hanging his head in pure shame. Although he would give his promise, this wasn't likely to be the last time that John had to spank Dean for reckless behavior. It was in the boy's personality.

John knew that the promise was unlikely to be kept, but it was always a good reminder for his sons when they misbehaved that if they did this again they would be punished severely. "Good. Because if you ever do something so dangerous again, I'm taking the belt to your hide. Am i understood?" His military barking voice came out in full now

If there had been anything that had frightened Dean the most, it was his father's drill sergeant voice barking at him. The message had been loud and clear, and Dean nodded his head, sobbing pitifully, "Uh-huhhhh... U-Understood..." The threat of feeling the belt on his bare butt was certainly not one to be forgotten; Dean had been whooped with that wicked belt a small number of times before, and recalling the pain was enough to stick with him. "I'm s-s-sorryyyy...!"

And with that cry, John knew his work was done. Carefully he pulled the boy up onto his lap and into his arms, rubbing his back gently "Shh...that's my good boy..." he soke softly, knowing this was what his son needed right now

Being lifted off of his father's knee and sat on his sore butt, Dean coughed and sniffled, resting his head on John's shoulder. The tears soaked through the material, and Dean just couldn't stop crying. He'd been so scared and angry with himself and that was all coming out in a rapidly escalating tantrum. He had needed this closeness that he so rarely got from his father... He was soaking up all of this positive attention.

John rubbed his back in slow, soothing circles, cudding his child close to his broad chest "That's it...i got you Ace" he smoothed his hair with his other rough hand, being as gentle as possible with his son in this state
