ocarina of time. for the n64. i still to this day regret trading it in for my ps2
my reasoning is very simply. in essence the game is a simple enough concept open fields act as a hub area connecting everything together and it has a day night cycle that gives a diiferent exprience based on whether it is night or day. also time becomes a very relevent factor in your gameplay which honestly is less agravating than i ever thought it would be compared to other games i have tried. the ocarina itself so intriguingly implemented and so detailed that people were able to create the ability top play the adams family on it if they wanted to, and with the songs the game actually gives you can make so many cool things happen! add to that a ton of real;y fun and enjoyable boss fight and a surpisingly satrisfying enough ending and got an amazing game and a combat styling that is fun think about and lock on mechanic that is still used to this day... oh and the game helped me get over my fear of the dark. BTW I don't hate the water temple... I hate Its the Lack luster boss fight... and I don't mean dark link. I mean that Fucking Living water elemental attempt that reminds me more of an Amoeba, that you end up fighting in what is basically an end of dungeon swimming pool.

Give it a shot. Just make sure to install all fan patches.
They are also working on a sequel.

There are currently three games in development. Swansong, which is an Adventure (the Telltale kind), Bloodlines 2, which is an action rpg, and Bloodhunt, which will be basicly team fortress with Vampires. All look fun. I might skip Bloodhunt, since that is not my genre.
Check out this trailer for Swansong -

And the original Bloodlines is based on the old Half Life 2 engine and is a really great rpg, alltough there were a few parts were I got stuck. Runs even on old computers, which is great for me.

Noted. How's the story? one of the biggest selling points for me is how it can immerse me in the story.

I still have a soft spot for Resident Evil even though its no longer good like before. Maybe, its because its the first game I played that makes it memorable.

Still lovin' Pokemon. It gives you chance to explore every nook and cranny of the world. But, ofc, a lot are better than this.
