Dusk let out an aggravated sound, but said nothing. He wouldn't be pulled, however, and tugged his hand out of Dai's arms so he could gather some money, and lock the inn door behind them.
He had always been raised under strict discipline, and he wasn't used to seeing a child hop about with enthusiasm, or whine because they were hungry. As it was, he wondered if he was just cold, because he didn't understand it.
"We'll eat something soon, let's get ingredients first."

Dai was bouncing and said "Hurry!" as he tried to pull him again.
He was usually feeling depressed by his family, but him running away made him happy suddenly.

Dusk looked at Dai sternly.
"I'm going as fast as I can, without running around all over the place," Dusk said, sighing and looking down the street at the marketplace. Dai seemed happy, and he was glad, but Dusk just couldn't figure out how children could act that way. Dusk didn't want to be insensative, but he was also embarassed as people noticed Dai and glared at Dusk as if he was an older brother letting a younger brother get out of hand.
"Please slow down, you'll bump into someone."

"I don't care. They should pay more attention." he said, tugging Dusk one last time, harder than ever, actually pulling him some. Dai usually didn't think before he acted, he just acted on the moment.

Dusk let out a frustrated groan, and pulled his arm closer to him, pulling Dai in with it. Dusk snatched up the boy's wrist and gripped it, not to hard, but firmly. He was sick of being pulled along.
"What foods do you like?" Dusk asked, looking at the different markets. Many of the stores set up were full of fish, and he pulled his cloak back to reach for his pouch of money. There would be more than just fish they pulled out of the water that ran around Khara Falls - a selection of tropical fruits and various nuts.

"Almost any kind. I'm really not that picky unless it's super hot." he said, hating the heat. "You can just get whatever, I'll probably like it and if I don't I'll eat it anyways." he said as he tried to get his wrist free.

Dai was struggling to get his wrist out of Dusk's grip, so Dusk let go.
"Sorry," he said shortly, feeling rather embarassed that he'd gripped the boy's wrist and made him uncomfortable. "How about fish? I can fix fish..."
And it seemed to be one of the few things the markets sold.

"Sure, I like fish." he said as he saw a store selling some more food that he liked. It was just fruit, but he loved fruit. "How about that?" he asked as he tugged Dusk to make him see the store.

"Okay, just pick out what you want," Dusk said, actually allowing himself to be pulled over to the stand. "Just don't get too much, we don't want to weigh down our bags when we head out of town tomorrow."

Dai nodded, and immediately began to pick out some fruit, of course, choosing a lot of fruit since when he rarely listened to Dusk, unless it was important or he was bored.
