Acheron drank the water that he was given and then handed the glass back to Markus, the silvery kit looking up at his master as the man asked if he were tired. "Little bit," he said as he shielded a yawn with one small hand. His ears were drooped and so were his twin tails, the kit obviously more than a little bit tired but he wasn't going to admit to that since he was a child and that meant that it was amazing that he admitted to being tired at all.

Markus bent and picked him up in his arms, gently rocking him back and forth as he held him protectively to his chest, one hand combing to his hair in a soothing motion.

"You keep doing that," Acheron whispered as he was picked up and held by Markus, the kit as always fighting against sleep even though he was still tired from everything that had happened.

"You don't like it then?" Markus asked as he sat on the bed, shifting so he was croslegged, his kid craddled on his lap as he cuddled him gently.

"Didn't say that," Acheron said in a quiet tone of voice, looking up at his master as the man sat down on the bed and placed him in his lap. "Just don' know why you always do it," he added, a yawn halting his words as the silvery kit reached up to rub at his eyes with one small hand in an attempt to keep himself from succumbing to sleep.

"To oothe you, to try that you feel better" The man said gently and took him up again, rocking him gently. "Close you eyes little one" He requested as he looked him fighting the sleep.

Acheron tilted his head to the side in that quizzical gesture that he so often used when something confused him or when he was curious, the kit gazing up at the man as Markus continued to speak to him in that same gentle tone that he always used. When he was told to close his eyes Acheron started to shake his head but something stopped him and in the end he complied with that, the little kit nuzzling against Markus's chest as he closed his eyes.

Markus smiled and kept rooking him, softly humming to him once he was about to go asleep. He couldn't sing but he could hum. He rocked the kit back and forth wanting him to rest well and recover completly.

Acheron snuggled against Markus's chest and fell asleep, his breathing soft at this point.

Markus smiled and, cuddling him close, lied down on bed too an yawned before sleeping too, trying to recover streght and sleep.
