"You could at least have knocked first! Besides you know I would never hurt him." Fenris groweled. She led Belaro up.
"Go to your mother and tell her that you stole the blankets, you did it in your sleep so I'm not convinced you need the reminder pats." She said kind but firm. Then she looked at Sync again. "I'm not sure if I should put you across my knee." She said. "You've been inpolite but I can understand you got worried." She said.

Sync sighed. "I do apologize, but I get very protective where my family is concerned, Fenris." He walked over to her and pat her shoulder, smiling. "Which is why I'm doing my best to be leanient towards you and my son's relationship as well. I have nothing against you, but I never thought he'd get a girlfriend for a while."

At breakfast, Nocturn had indeed swiped her breakfast and was nibbling the last of her breakfast, pushing his plate away.
