Of foxes and wolves (Open to any and all)

Kago growled again as the carrage carrying him neared the fox city gate. It had been decided, without his consent, no less, that he, the prince of the wolves, one of the strongest warriors known to the land, would marry the beautiful, but weak fox princess so that their two societies could easily intergrate themselves. It made him gag. The foxes were weak and everyone knew it. They should just be stamped out. Wolves ruled by whoever was the strongest... but the foxes always had a female on the throne. Even the husband of their queen was referred to as that, her husband, not a king or even a minor duke, but just her lover.

The carrage entered the city and he looked out the window, noting how all the foxes in the streets were so small... not only were they weak, but they were child-like as well! The tallest one he saw barely came up to his chest. And he was expected to marry a woman that would be so much shorter than him? Oh, this just kept getting better and better.

The carrage stopped just outside the palace and he put on his neutral face, stepping out and he was led up the stairs to meet a bride he had only seen a formal picture of before. He had to admit... she wasn't that bad looking... for a red-fur. Red-fur was a derrogatory term a wolf used to describe a fox... the foxes coined the term grey-fur in the same fashion.

Seimei nervously paced her bedroom, awaiting the arrival of her new husband. She hadn't really thought this to be fair, on her side or his; but her mother had insisted. She sighed, peaking out the window again, looking for the carriage.

She wasn't even dressed yet; only pacing her room in an underdress. She didn't have her makeup on either. She heard someone knock on her door and turned to it. It was mostly likely a servant since they didn't come in, but the message was to hurry and finish getting ready.

She sighed, walking over to her cloest and putting on the dress her mother had made just for this. It was a beautiful red velvet with gold ribbions and lace. She put it on, with some difficulty and looked at herself in the full-length mirror. She hated the color red, it clashed with her fur.

"The carriage is here!" She heard someone shout, she gasped and quickly put on a little make up, just enough to make her presentable. Afterwards, she quickly ran out of her room to the entrance of her palace. Her mother and a few guards were already there. Her mother gave her a brief look, then faced forward. Seimei swallowed hard and blushed at the sight of her husband.

A small servant boy was hiding in the back of the room near a pot with a big plant… he wanted to see the wolf badly, but was told to stay far away from them as it was known he was a cluts. He had white fur witch was uncommon amongst the fox breed but not impossible to find. His eyes were a bright pink. He wore a black, white, and brown uniform that the other servants his age wore as well. Curiosity just had gotten the better of him as he really wanted to see what a gray fur really looked like in person. He wined to him self for not finding a closer hiding spot.
Poor little Kai would have to settle for this.

Growling, He got out of the carrage and examined the palace. It was smaller than his... were they poor as well as small? He wondered, walking towards the gate, two large guards flanking him and a sabre attatched to his belt. It was a wolf's custom to never go anywhere outside of their own homes without some form of weapon. As he neared them, he gave a stiff, but courteous bow to each of those present.

Seimei blushed deeper at the sight of her husband. He sure was handsome...better than the pictures had shown. She almost forgot to bow, but quickly did so when her mother did.

"W-Welcome..." Seimei greeted nervously as she rose. "Welcome to Auhor." she said.

Kago nodded gently. She seemed... a little jumpy. "Thank you, and thank you for the honor of allowing me to come here, to meet my fiancee, and to... to partake in your lifestyle for a while." He mentally winced as he said those words. All that rehersing and he still gagged at the thought of being around red-furs. "Please, might I know where i am staying?"

Seimei's mother smiled and took over. "We are glad you could make it here," she said, giving another bow. After rising she smiled a bit more. "You'll be staying in the room across from my daughter's..." She looked at her daugther. "Seimei,"

"Ma'am!" She said, flinching at her name.

"Show your finacee around..." She turned back to Kago. "Forgive me, but I have some last minute matters to attend to." She bowed again before leaving.

Seimei swallowed nervously. "You...You can...follow me...to...to your quaters..." She said, walking a few steps ahead and waiting for him to follow.

Nodding slowly, Kago followed her, sniffing the air. It was perfumed and very florescent. Flower gardens were rampant. Quite a tranquil little place, no home for a warrior. He walked up beside her and looked down at her. "In a few days will we will be wed..."

Seimei blushed. "I...I...think...I think so..." she said.

She swallowed hard, glancing at him.

"I...uh...wanted you to....to know....that....that I'm not...gonna....gonna be like the....the others..."

She took a deep breath.

"I mean...I'll let you....have a say...in all the desicions we make...cause you know...how the foxes...we...with the female rulers and...."

She went on, explained basically how the females were higher than the males....becoming quite annoying...

Kago managed to somehow keep from growling at her as she talked nonesense to him about females being higher than males in this society. He didn't like what he heard much, but he closed his ears to her. He decided to interrupt her before too long. "Are you aware that I would have taken such a stance had you not complied?" he asked, referring to his being part of making decisions.
