I'm not very familiar with the gameplay of persona games, but from what I do know it feels like a good rpgmaker adaptation of the systems in those games. I'm happy you included a cheat weapon because I really can't enjoy combat in rpgmaker games, it makes the whole dungeon sections a lot more tolerable. I also like the characters I've seen so far, they've been fun to interact with. The lore notes are a cool feature that really helps build the world you're in. I'm not sure if this game is finished 100% yet, but if it is I hope to see more work from you in the future.
I'm glad you're enjoying it so far. I would like to do more work on this world, either as additional content or a sequel/spinoff. Additional content would likely take the form of branching alternative paths in the story, with more choices available. What I have now is as much as I was able to get done in the limited time frame of the Game Jam.

Of course, I would also like to learn how to generate art to use in the spanking scenes instead of the black screens. If I find a good way to do this, then that will be my main priority.

Quick question, is there a way to get out of the punishment world you enter after the first scene in the school if you don't have high enough stats for the final demon? Or did I just get softlicked and lose the entire playthrough?

There’s a way to solve it without any stat requirements whatsoever.

Talk to the demon in the orb puzzle room and annoy him until he leaves. Talk to the demon in the last room. Then interact with the frame in the last room.

Finally had some time to finish the game.

Exceptionally well-realised adaptation of the Persona-Inspiration. Definitely a great game with great characters. I think you succeeded with the themes of commodification as well.

Some minor issues I had, the rpg gameplay was just not very fun, and unless I missed something very significant, I don't think there is a good thematic justification for it. Perhaps if it had been more connected to the outside world in a smiliar vein to Persona, it would have been more engaging, but as it stands, as soon as you get your party filled, there is just very little interesting happening in that half of the game until you get to the ending.

I think you did an excellent job integrating the different "verticals" into the setting and themes, the one place I felt needed a bit more attention in that regard were the judicial scenarios. I thought the characters in that portion were some of the most engaging, but the setting itself wasn't given enough time to simmer on how sinister it is, before you find a relatively positive outcome for the characters you interact with inside it.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. There is a lot more I would like to further develop. In retrospect, I should have took my time with this an put in all the work I wanted to rather than cram it into a Game Jam timeframe. But I do plan to add onto this game in the future.

I quit out of frustration:

-Black screens. If there's nothing to show then fine, don't show anything, BUT DO NOT HIDE EVERYTHING EITHER! Do literally anything else than blank the screen. Having nothing on the screen is just instantaneous frustration.

-Forced full screen, this is the one sticker that pushed me over the edge and made me alt-f4. By default RPGMaker games can be windowed. Why go out of your way to stop me from windowing?

you know that the majority of the games here are black screen scenes, right? Though if you think you can do better, then by all means go for it. Otherwise stop complaining and accept what you get. Though it kind of seems like people like you would complain either way.

As someone who has enjoyed several persona games, this game is great! I also really appreciate the walkthrough. I always play persona with a walkthrough so it is really nice to be able to play this with one too.
