"I just opened the blinds! And you certainly won't skip breakfast! It's the most important meal of the day!" He landed one wellplaced smack on her bottom. "So you stand up now Phoebe. I won't tell you twice."

"Alright papa! I'll get ready then!" She got her bag with her wallet and phone and put her shoes on. "Come on papa! You're being slow!" She chuckled

Phoebe, slightly cranky because she was tired, stood up and glared at her father. "I HATE YOU!!!", she screamed angrily and stormed downstairs and into the kitchen. There, she found her still tired father and sat down in his lap to snuggle close. "Daddy...dad is all mean with me..I didn't do anything...tell him to stop or we go without him to the mall", she whined and leaned her head on her father's chest.

Sandy's father shook his head as she told him to hurry up. "We still have a lot of time, calm down", he told her and finished cleaning. Then, he took his car keys, his wallet and phone and went outside with her.

Teeny outbursts at it's finest. Gregory sighed. Shawn looked up and chuckled as Phoebe got on his lap. "Aww did he wake you up? You know how he is." He pulled some pancakes towards him. "Look here. Some yummy pancakes. I made them just for you." He knew Phoebe could be cranky just like him.

Sandy got out and into the car next to her father. "Ohoo! You'll see we will have fun today Pa! Like we hadn't had in quite some time!" She was really looking forward and also hoped to find nice things. "What will you look for papa? Anything special?"

Phoebe hugged Shawn happily and snuggled close again. "At least one person who does understand what I am going through...Next time, he should send you to wake me up, you wouldn't attack me with sunlight", she said and started eating the pancakes. "Mmmmh...they taste great", she said after she swallowed. "Thanks daddy, I love you", she added, in a better mood after a moment.

Dr. Rush soon drove into the direction of the mall. He switched on the radio -which he normally hated, but Sandy liked it so he did it today- and thought about her question. "Well, maybe I find a new book about the things I am working at at the moment", he said hopefully. Maybe it would make his work easier, who knew? "And you?", he wanted to know curiously.

"Ah you see your daddy knows how it is to be a grumpy morning person." Gregory came down. "As I see you at least convinced her to eat." He sat down. Shawn shrugged. "I didn't convince her. I just offered her." Gregory sipped his coffee. Hmph!

"You really like your work huh? Well maybe they have something fun to read. I also heard that there was a new fantasy novel out that isn't bad." Sandy seemed like the opposite of her father. "You think we could go and lool around at the games store? I would like to see if they have something new to play with!" Sandy liked videogames.

Phoebe snuggled close and continued eating. "I am not grumpy...I just need my beautisleep", she defended herself and sighed as Greg came back downstairs. "I am here dad, you don't have to pretend I am not.", she told him and stuck her tongue out at him before she continued eating. "I need coffee...", she mumbled and took her mug to fill it up.

"Well, we will see how much time we have and how the day goes for us, then I will decide if we can go there", Dr. Rush replied and pulled up at the parking lot. He found a parking spot quickly and went out of the car. "Let's go to the bookstore first"

Gregory had to chuckle then though. "Oh Phoebe. I know you´re there." He let her get coffee and then asked. "Any shops you want to go particularly? Appart from the bookshop?" Shawn had told Gregor of course.

Sandy thought about it and was okay with that. She got out of the car and smiled. "Yeees! Let´s go and look at the books." She hugged his arm and followed him inside. The mall was one of the biggest around and also had outlet stores, so many people were always around.

Phoebe took her first sip from the coffee and sighed relaxed. She looked at her father and thought about it. "I don't know what they have here...we will see... maybe I can find something for my room...decoration...", she said and took another bite of her pancake.
"Where do you wanna go?", she asked after a moment.

Dr. Rush let Sandy guide him to the bookstore and enjoyed being around all these different books. "Which section do you want to look at first?", he asked his daughter curiously. He liked wandering through bookstores with her, it was relaxing...

Shawn thought about it. "Probably look for some movies." Greg took another sip of coffee. "Well I would like to look also for a book. Maybe even get some new clothes if they have anything decent." He wanted to look good for his job.
"you should get dressed Phoebe. So we can be off." Shawn smiled. "Just imagine. We might eat something for lunch there and also get you something nice from Starbucks!"

Sandy always grew a bit exciting in bookstores. Her look went right and left and certainly didn't know where to go first. "Uhm. Ah how..about Fiction? Then Sci-fi? Your maths and physics should be close by to that!" She smiled.

"Really? Well I am not sure if they can fit your expectations dad, you are pretty picky with clothes", she teased him gently. Then, she looked at Shawn and rolled her eyes. "I am not 5 dad, we use to do that everytime we are in a mall", she told him and shook her head. Phoebe stood up and pecked her father on the cheek before she went upstairs to get dressed. Soon, she was ready to go. "Let's go, I bet dad is all excited about the food and starbucks. We don't want him to starve after all", she said jokingly.
