Shawn chuckled. He liked to tease Phoebe sometimes. And for him she still was his little Princess. Just like for Gregory. He smiled as Phoebe was ready. "Oh I am indeed all excited. Come on then." They got into their car and drove off to the mall. It was morning so not many people were there but yet enough to notice.

Gregory got them to the bookstore and he looked at the newspaper stand. Shawn went off with Phoebe. "So? You know where to look for?"

Sandy heard the boices and turned. "Oh." It was indeed Shawn and Phoebe. "Oh look papa. That's Phoebe our new neigjbour and her father."

Phoebe grew excited as well, as soon as they were there, but didn't show it. She was still a bit miffed because of the situation of course, and -on top- a teenager. Silently, she followed her parents into the bookstore and looked around. "Yes, I know where to look, how about we meet up in 30 minutes at the check out?", she suggested and pointed at it.

Dr. Rush, who was reading in a book that caught his attention, looked up and to Sandy. "Our neighbours- oh, I see. Well, you want to say hello?", he asked calmly and looked at them. It seemed that the girl indeed had 2 fathers. Hm.

Shawn checked his watch. "Alright. Don't get kidnapped." He joked and went off. Sandy went to her. "Hello Phoebe. How are you doing? Looking for a book? I often come here with my father." She pointed to him.

Gregory had caught the conversation. "So you're our neighbour right?" Sandy nodded. "I'm Sandy. This is my father.. Dr. Nicholas Rush."

Phoebe rolled her eyes at her father and went to look for a new book. She found the one she wanted anyway and took it. Suddenly, she heard a familiar voice and turned her head. It was Sandy. "Hey, yes I am looking for some books", she nodded. "You too I assume?" Sandy introduced herself and her father to Greg and Phoebe smiled brightly. "Nice to meet you Dr. Rush, I am Phoebe", she said politely. "Nice to meet you too. Sandy told me already a bit about you", Dr. Rush answered and shook hands with Greg as well. "Nice to meet you."

Sandy nodded. "Well I like to browse bookstores very much. Plus I can spend sometime with my pa. He´s quite busy all the time." She knew her father didn´t like much small tak so she explained mostly what was going on.

Gregory smiled. "Well maybe you´d like to come over one evening with Sandy, if you´re not too busy. We like to meet new people." He also liked the idea that Dr. Rush was a single father, so he was just as a minority as they were. Maybe if made Phoebe more comfortable.

Sandy would like to go over but it still was her father´s decision.

Phoebe listened to Sandy and smiled. She seemed nice so far, even if her father didn't seem to understand that she had two fathers until now. That was at least what she thought. Dr. Nicholas Rush looked at Sandy shortly, before he smiled politely. "I am sure that can be arranged", he answered, knowing that Sandy wanted to spend time with Phoebe after all. The girl seemed polite so far and the two men that were her parents weren't complete idiots after all, it was a start...

Gregory smiled. Good. At least something positive. Sandy smiled. She was sure it would be fun and it would do her father good to get to meet people. Since her mother died, her father just avoided any contact to others to protect himself and his little one. He didn't meant it in a bad way. It was just his way of things.

"Well hope to see you soon sir. Let's continue Phoebe." Gregory said. Sandy smiled st Phoebe. "See you." As they were gone Sandy turned to her father. "See? They are nice. And I think you will get along with Mr. Summers."

Phoebe would have enjoyed to talk some more to Sandy, but sighed and nodded. "Fine, see you Sandy", she said and smiled. Then, she went back to look for some more books. "Why did you have to drag me away from my new friend?", she asked, slightly annoyed and looked at Greg irritated.

"We will see about that", Dr. Rush said and sighed deeply. "I hope they can even follow my words...", he added and took out another book that looked interesting. He wasn't sure what to think about all this...

"I didn't want to spoil anything. Dr. Rush seems like a busy man." Gregory felt that maybe he should get it on slowly. Shawn bumped into them. He had found abook about guitars. "What's the matter? Oh is that Sandy our neighbour there?" He noticed that Phoebe was a bit upset.

Sandy looked at her father. Then picked up one book about science fiction. "Aww come on. Mr. Summers really tries to be nice. Maybe he just is afraid to not be liked. You know?"

"He is just shopping with Sandy, he isn't busy at all at the moment", Phoebe answered poutily and looked at her other father. "Yes it is, we already said hello, so don't bother to do so, Dad doesn't wants to talk to our new neighbour more than 4 minutes", she told Shawn and crossed her arms over her chest.

"Well he shouldn't care about that at all. He should simply be the man he wants to be, without these stupid emotional decisions and actions", her father replied and shrugged.
