The City of Mondstatdt, in the realm of Teyvat, is always eventful whether for good or bad. But right now something else was going to happen. Inside the home of Acting GrandMaster of the Knights of Favonius Jean was in the living room waiting for the arrival of her little sister Barbara. It has come to her attention from the other sisters at the church that Barbara has been slacking off on her duties for nearly a week. Arriving late, performing her duties at A subpar level than she normally does. Jean didn't know what was going on with her sister but she did not want it to continue and she plans to get to the bottom of it before Barbara leaves for the church this morning.

Barbara had gotten ready as usual that morning, washed and dressed up.
Appearance was one of those things that couldn't be faulted.
She straightened the folds of her skirt and went down the stairs, humming.
She loved to sing, which was why she sometimes neglected her duties.
Barbara had learned from some faithful that there were rumors of a singing contest that would be held in Liyue and she already dreamed of participating in it.
She was unaware that his very passion was going to cost her dearly.
Adjusting her blond locks, she peeked into the living room to greet Jean before going to the Monstad church.

While drinking her green tea Jean begins to hear the sounds of cheerful humming and Jean already knew it belonged to her little sister, Barbara as she notices the girl arriving into the living room. "Barbara we need to talk." Jean said to her little sister before she could take another step. She knew Barbara would spend the majority of her time at the church but she wanted to talk to her first before she goes to take care of her duties. Honestly, Jean was nervous on the inside about what she was planning to do to her sister but was doing her best to hide her emotions from her sister.

Barbara looked puzzled at her sister.
"Yes, all right," she said, unaware that Rosaria had told Jean about her "escapades" to avoid her duties.
She entered the living room, closing the door behind, and joined her sister, standing in front of her.
She was convinced it would be a matter of minutes. "What do you have to talk to me about?".

With Barbara now stopped from heading out before they could talk Jean begins to talk to her sister first. "The other sisters from the church had come to me recently. They say that you are becoming more lazy Barbara. You're staring off into space, your work on your tasks is getting sloppy and I want to hear from you what's going on." Jean explained to Barbara what this is about. She always gave Barbara A chance to explain her actions before her punishment.

Barbara was silent, taken aback.
She didn't expect the other sisters to spy.
The girl lowered her head slightly, fiddling with the edge of her white dress.
"Well ..." she began. "It's not false but ...", she sighed slowly, she wasn't sure that her sister would approve of what she was about to tell her.
"I have heard from some of the Fatui around the Monstad church that there will be a singing contest in Snezhnaya ...", then, hastily adds. "They will make selections in Liyue and the semifinals in Inazuma ..."

Jean would listen to the explanation that Barbara would give her while fiddling with the edge of her dress and looking towards the ground. Hearing the story Jean mouthed an "oh" hearing the mention of A singing contest being held in Liyue. "So you've been so distracted by the singing competition that you've been distracted so much you been slacking on your duties?" Jean questioned her sister who was still looking down at the ground.

Barbara sighed and nodded.
"I'm sorry, that's not going to happen again," she said, "I'll do my best to put my duties before the pleasure," assured.
She was still convinced that this was just a little "lecture" and that soon, after reminding her of her duties, her sister would dismiss her.

"Well it's good to see that you understand what you did was wrong Barbara and I'm glad that you are accepting the fault for it, but that doesn't mean that you are going to get away from this unpunished, young lady." Jean explained to her sister as she moves the armless wooden chair she was using from the kitchen table to the center of the room and then sits down on it. This was something she would usually do anything she had to punish Barbara and this time wasn't going to be different from anytime else. "Come closer and lift up your dress Barbara." Jean ordered.

Barbara turned pale when she saw her take the chair.
It didn't happen very often, Jean tended not to be very strict if she could solve the matter with a lecture.
The young woman didn't expect that this morning would end like this.
