He continued to speak to her, cooing and soothing, until her sobs began to taper off. He rubbed her back a little more and then stopped. She was still crying, but she wasn't sobbing anymore. People didn't come here, but they might if they heard her.

Being careful not to touch her bottom, he released his arm from Kira's waist and took her by the shoulders again. He stood Kira up in front of him so he could look into her face.

Larry's heart broke to see her like this. Her face was tear stained, her eyes were red, and her lips were still quivering. It wasn't just the spanking that had made her cry so hard-he had seen her take punches and kicks without flinching and come back with the ferocity of a tiger-but also the humiliation and the way it had made her remember her past and the pain of it. Larry could imagine it, the feeling of feeling like a helpless child again...

"I'm sorry about that Kira. I care about you so much; too much to let you get in trouble again." Larry soothed to her as he gave Kira a kiss on the cheek. "I have a surprise for you. Something good. Now rest for a little while."

He hugged Kira close to him so her head rested on his shoulder and gently began to hum an old musical piece to her. It wasn't anything famous, but for Kira, it was her personal lullaby. She was exhausted, and he needed her to sleep for a little while so he could get her to his house. She was probably too tired and sore to get there on her own.

Kira felt herself have more tears stream down her cheeks, she sighed and looked back up at him.

As he moved her in front of him she instantly looked away, trying to hide that she was still crying. She felt to upset on how this was turning out and who she was so childish that someone finally treated her as such.

Kira shivered as she felt his stare. It was true..he had made a crack into the barrier that had made her to act as so. She wasn't fixed totally, though who would after just pne day? She turned her head back to him and frowned "I am so sorry...so..so..sorry" she said trying not to cry again. She hated the thought of crying again, showing weakness and her pain to others.

His words made her want to cry again, not sad tears..though tears of joy. After all of this he still loved her, loved her enough to do this. As he kissed her cheek a small smile flashed, it was so hard to see and fast that if you blinked..you would miss it.

Kira closed her eyes in comfort as he brought her head to his shoulder and as their body warmth merged. The gentle lullaby he hummed to her had calmed her down and she wrapped a arm around him, weakly embracing him. She was so tired that she was falling asleep in his arms.

She was asleep. Good. She was in pain and exhausted. Now he could fulfill his gift for her.

Larry gently laid Kira down on the bench and got her back into her underwear. She was apparently sleeping deeply because she did not even stir when he dressed her, despite the redness of her backside. Poor thing...

He leaned down and kissed Kira on the head again. "Aishiteru, Kira-chan. Aishiteru..."

He picked Kira up and slung her over his shoulder, being careful not to touch her derriere. He began to walk back to his car which was parked further away, carrying her...

LATER ON...

Larry lived in one of the best places in town. His parents, both of whom were doctors, afforded him an upper middle class style of living, making his house large, albeit not mansion large, but not a simple house. It was somewhere in between those two. At the moment, Larry's father had been home. On the way, he had called him and told him about Kira, leaving out the part about the spanking. His father, knowing about Kira's trouble and how much Larry cared about her, willingly agreed.

Now Larry sat in his bedroom, painted an odd, but lovely color of burgundy red. It was fairly typical for a guy in his late teens: it had a TV unit with cable TV, a VCR and DVD player, and a series of video games and systems. On the dresser was a stereo and a carrier case of CDs. All sorts of other things.

Larry was sitting in an easy chair, reading a book while he waited for Kira to wake up. Kira herself was on Larry's bed, stomach down. The denim and leather clothing she wore wouldn't be comfortable in Larry's bed, so Larry had taken one of his sister's old nightgowns and gotten Kira into one while she was asleep (Larry's sister was years older than him and had moved out some time ago to pursue her job and dreams). It wasn't girly, since Kira would bash his brains in if he did that. It had shoulder sleeves, and was long, but it was raven black, giving it a gothic, somewhat menacing appearance. Kira's style alright.

Larry, having scene Kira's backside already, had decided to close his eyes while getting her dressed. Odd, yes, but he was a gentlemen in general.

He hoped Kira would wake up soon.

Kira sighed and rustled in her sleep, she was not the best of sleepers. Her therapists had stated it was because of the horrific death of her parents.

She currently was having a dream: She was alone at her house, watching her parents being slaughtered over and over again. She was in the form on her old and young self, crying and screaming her eyes out. Just as the robber was about to kill her father the scenery changed...she was in a well lit room, the walls pure white..so white it blinded you with the effect of total innocence. There behind her was Larry, he hugged her and was telling her it was alright.

As Kira slept a small smile appeared and she began to awake, her eyes slwoly opening and she got up. She looked over at Larry and smiled warmly "Larry...I love you" she whispered and winced as her bottom made contact with the bed. It seemed up until then she had forgot everything that had happened before she fell asleep.

She was still for a little while, but then she began to stir. Her face began to contort with fear, or misery, or both, suggesting a nightmare. Then suddenly she smiled and whispered "Larry, I love you."

Larry turned the chair around to face her. Kira slowly began to rise up, then she completely jerked awake as her butt touched the bed. He immediately got up and put a hand on her shoulder in a consoling way.

"It's okay Kira. Everything is okay now." Larry cooed to her as she came awake. Kira's face wasn't tear stained anymore, and she looked rested. She looked so much better than she did before.

"Aishiteru, Kira-chan." he said again, although he wasn't Japanese. "Oh, and the clothes you were wearing wouldn't be comfortable on you after what happened, so I gave you something else. Your clothes are in a bag in the bathroom."

Larry smiled. "And don't worry. I had my eyes closed the whole time. Hope you don't mind the nightie."

Kira sighed and closed her eyes for a moment before re-opening them, she looked up at him "ano.." she looked down at the night gown and smiled abit "domo arigato Larry-kun" she spoke softly.

She was not Japanese either, though to her..it was a language she could use to tell Larry how much she loved him and such. To her, it was like their little code.

She stood up and winced alittle, she looked around noticing she was in his room "hm..so I see you brought me to your house, what did your parents say when you brought me in?" she inquired as she continued to look at the nightgown.

Larry positively beamed at Kira's question. "Well Kira, my folks know about your... problems as well. But the thing is, my folks understand what's going on as well and they know what it was like for both of us during those hard times." he said.

"I know you're not fond of the school dormitories. I mean, they're adequate, but they aren't, how do you say, the Ritz. And the only schools that one would really want to live at are college and the like because then you have all the freedoms and such." Larry chuckled at that. He was out of high school with his diploma, however he hadn't started college yet. He was currently in community college, doing two classes.

"And now for my gift." Larry said. He leaned in close to Kira and whispered n her ear: "My parents are going to let you live with us. No more dormitories or anything. They talked to the officials and got you out of it. All your possessions and clothes are downstairs. Now you can live with us."

Larry didn't know how she would react. This was what she wanted, right? A family and a home to call her own. It was another step toward healing her. Another step toward helping his beloved.

Kira watched him and she crossed her arms, letting out a soft whine 'he better have not told them about what happened..' she thought to herself.

Kira listened to him as he rambled on about the school dormitories, Truth was she liked it, though she didn't. It gave her wanted freedom..though it was not the best place to live, i mean heck..because there was no one to watch after her she did alot of things just to get some attention.

As he leaned to Kira's ear she looked over at him, his warm breath hitting her ear. As he said that Kira was both happy and sad, she looked down and sighed.

"I really am happy that you would do this..just for me. Though, I do not want to be a burden" she said feeling out of place.

Larry sat back and chuckled slightly. "Kira, if you were a burden, my parents wouldn't have allowed me to see you at all when they heard about you." he said.

"I love you Kira-chan." he said. "I would never tell anyone-even my folks-about things you don't want them to know. And I assure you, you aren't a burden. We both have each other, but you want something more, don't you? You want a family. I know that nobody could ever replace your Otousan and Kaasan, and I would never try to do that, but you still want somebody to love you besides me, don't you?"

Larry sat next to Kira and put a hand on the sleeve of her nightie. "My parents care about you just as much as I do, perhaps more. We're going to do everything to provide for you and care for you, Kira-chan. And more than that, despite some of the things you've done, they love you like a daughter." he said, looking right at her.

Kira sighed and looked down "Hai, Though do not think I will allow you guys to do everything for me..I will take care of myself and everything..so I am not such a hinderance" she stated.

She looked up at him and nodded "..I guess, though i still would be okay with you just loving me..Larry-koi" she smiled abit and kissed his cheek lightly. "Besides...a family isn't what will make me happy, just knowing that I am important in someone else's life will make me happy."

As he finished up she looked at him and began to revert back to herself "though..I also expect you to treat me the same, i do not want to be thought up as weak just cause of this..understand?"
