Spock stepped side by side with Captain Kirk and glanced to him occasionally as he rambled about the prospects of being upgraded to a better ship. There was no faults with the Enterprise, but Kirk always seemed to want the next best thing. "I doubt that is the reason for our summons, Captain." he answered in that respectful nasally tone.

Spock knew the exact reason that the head of Starfleet was calling them to his office, of course he had not informed Jim. The two entered the office and Spock removed his hat as a sign of respect, watching as Jim did the same before then looking to the man before them.

"Thank you for filing the report about Captain Kirk's behavior recently, Mr. Spock." He said, his tone gruff and he looked at Jim.

"I feel the behavior displayed has not suited the Captain well, it is with deep concern that I submitted the file, sir." he answered, glancing to Jim a moment.

Jim's mouth dropped in shock before closing it, forcing his temper down as well as the urge to murder the Vulcan beside him. "I apologize for any behavior deemed unsuitable Admiral. I was trying to get Enterprise into deeper space. I have been taking some of the anger out on my crew, for which I will make a formal apology." He said respectfully, and received a nod from his boss. "Come Commander Spock." Jim ground out, and left. He wasn't sure what to do with his irritating Vulcan Commander short of throwing him in the Brig.

Spock listened as Jim tried to talk his way out of that sticky situation and he sort of sighed when the young Captain seemed to do so and with ease. "Yes Captain." he answered formally. He nodded his head in dismissal to their boss and followed Jim out of the room. "Captain, I sense that this situation has angered you?" he asked curious and concerned, "I did not imply anything other than concern for the running of the Enterprise and the crew."

Jim didn't really want to talk with the Vulcan, but as always, he never shut up. "No Spock, what ever could make you think that?" Jim said sarcastically, and grit his teeth to silence himself. "I am going to my quarters and you will go to yours. We will pretend this never happened and get on with our jobs. Understood?"

Spock tilted his head to the side a little bit, of course the Vulcan did not understand sarcasm and thought Jim was asking a genuine question, "I have reason to believe so, because-" he was cut off when Jim then ordered him to go to his quarters. "Captain, while my loyalty lies with you, I do not regret my actions, I had to ensure the correct conduct of the Enterprise, and I deemed you unfit." he answered honestly. "It was my duty as Commander to file the report, Captain."

Jim snorted and turned to face Spock. "Your duty is to report to Vulcan High Command and report if we get to big for our boots." He said, before continuing to walk. "We'll forget this happened Spock. It's for the best." Jim finished, heading to his quarters which...were close to Spock's...damn it.

Spock frowned in slight concern at that point, "Captain...I do not feel this issue provokes conflict." he said and followed the young brunette to his quarters, unable to let the matter drop, and certainly not on that note. "If you wish to talk about this Captain, then we must. I shall not leave anything unresolved."

"You can never let anything go, can you?" Jim muttered and turned around. "Spock, you broke my trust today. If there was something wrong with my actions, you should have told me. Not gone running to my boss." Jim turned, not seeing the stricken look on the Vulcan's face.

Spock felt very crestfallen at that point though he chose not to let it show. "My apologies Captain." he answered before turning way and walking to his quarters. Once there he sat down on his bed and sighed softly. He had not meant to break Captain Kirk's trust, he would never do so. The Vulcan then quickly stood and returned to Jim. "Is there not some way I can regain your trust, and have your forgiveness, Captain?"

Jim was surprised to see Spock return, asking him for forgiveness. He raised a brow and thought it through. "Yes. There's a way." He would see how long it took before Spock bailed, or if he'd see the punishment through to the end. He led Spock inside and sat on his bed. "Bare your bottom and bend over my lap Spock."
