David was glad to be taking in his little sister, but he was apprehensive about the whole thing too. Himself and his girlfriend -everyone called them husband and wife because they'd been together for so long, but the truth is he was only now about to propose- had talked about starting a family of their own, and having Cindy there was going to be a test of their ability to be parents, for sure. The two of them had always been as close as anyone could expect, from siblings with such a gap in their ages, but he was decidedly older and more boring than his little sister these days. And even though this was only her first day there, the both of them, David and Margaret, had to go back to work after getting her settled in.
The didn't even know she'd known where the park was, or how to get there. They were on the opposite side of town from where she'd grown up. And this definitely wasn't as nice an area. So they were both quite panicked to see her not home when they got in from their jobs.
