Samantha giggled sweetly yet again as she was hugged and they approached the outskirts of town towards the Viridian Forest. "I love you Mommy - I can't wait to see what happens on our adventure today!"

"Yes, but usually its just because they're scared of humans out in the wild - or if treated badly by their trainer! But if you treat them nicely and with love, they become lifelong friends and family." Tielle ruffled Isabella's hair, following close behind Natalie and Samantha.

"Hopefully you'll catch some Pokemon today," Ariana said, walking up beside Samantha. "Even if you don't, I think you'll enjoy yourself today."

"W-What if they d-don't like me, even if I do love them?" Isabella worried.

"Definitely! Me and Squirtle are going to be the bestest team ever!" Samantha said confidently, skipping along side her mother.

"It takes practice and time, but bonds with Pokemon grow stronger and stronger with their trainer. If you love them, they will love you back eventually." Tielle picked up Isabella and carried her with a hug and kiss. "Just like I love you!"

"We just need to be careful in the forest," Natalie said. She'd never liked forests; she always found them creepy, be it day or night.

Isabella threw her arms around Tielle's neck and hugged her tightly. "I love you, too, Tielle."

Samantha nodded and held her mommy's hand tight - no running away from her this time! It was bad enough in a city, but in a spooky ol' forest? Nuh uh! Even the headstrong Samantha wasn't that impulsive!

Tielle sped up her walking pace to catch up to the others. "Welp, here we are - Viridian Forest is not much further, and beyond that is Pewter City! I hope you guys are up for a hike."

"I hope you're gonna stay close to Natalie now," Ariana said to Samantha. "And I'll stay close to you as well, okay?"

"I'm not letting Samantha out of my sight at all," Natalie commented, giving Samantha's hand a squeeze.

Isabella rested her head against her sister's shoulder; she wasn't scared of Viridian Forest, not one bit. She'd actually explored all by herself in the forest one day, even though she wasn't supposed to. But, Tielle didn't really need to know that.

Samantha nodded, and grabbed Ariana's hand as well, walking between the two of them as they approached the forest's entrance.

Tielle sat Isabella on the ground and gripped her hand too, following suit of the rest of them. She wanted to let Isabella have some exercise without worrying about her scampering off.
