The Caterpie inside didn't struggle at all - his battle with the trainer had been one big test and whilst she had gotten there on a rocky path, the trainer had passed it.

Ariana smiled as the Poke Ball produced a noise and a red light. "Well, congratulations. You now have a Caterpie, Samantha."

Isabella tried to struggle her way off her sister's lap but Tielle was holding her really tight!

Samantha smiled happily and jumped up and down for a moment before remembering that Ariana wanted to have a little... talk... with her. "Um... Ariana, are you gonna spank me?" she said, a little disappointed that the exciting moment might be squelched by a paddling for being such an impulsive and fool hardy trainer that could have gotten her Squirtle really hurt.

Tielle did not let go, but frowned at the struggling girl. "Isabella Marie, you sit still and behave, unless you want me to spank you now as well as when we get to the house!" She was still a little agitated, but by far in a better general mood than before.

"W-what I just did? What did I do??" she said, shifting uncomfortably in her spot. "A-an' shouldn't we go meet up with mommy and the others first?" Samantha continued, trying to prolong her punishment for a little bit so she could savor the victory of a fresh caught Pokemon.

Tielle sighed and held the girl tight, looking up at Natalie with a face that read 'Help!' - the older sister was not sure what to do at this point and Isabella was not in a mood to be cooperative it seemed.

"Fine. After Isabella's punishment," Ariana said. "Come on."

Natalie took Isabella from Tielle and swatted the girl's bottom firmly seven times - one swat for each year she was alive for. Isabella clutched her bottom but the little spanking had the desired effect. "Now, young lady, you will stop with these ridiculous tears and sit like a good girl on your sister's lap! Do I make myself clear?" Isabella nodded and rushed back onto Tielle's lap.

Samantha pouted, recalling Squirtle and walking back with her hand in Ariana's. Well, she had almost made it from Viridian to Pewter without getting in trouble...

Tielle blinked at how effective that was, and held her little girl tight on her lap. "Wow, that was surprising. How'd you do that, Natalie?"

Samantha still squirmed awkwardly, but at least her bottom would have some cushioning. "I dun even know what I did bad! I-I mean if you think I need a spankin', okay... bu-buh what did I do wrong?" she whimpered, her eyes watering a bit. Honestly, sometimes getting in trouble was worse than the punishment!

"You'll have to give me some pointers then" chuckled Tielle at the more experienced parent.

"N-No pointers," Isabella cutely whined.

"I-I just thought Squirtle would know a couple simple ones - I didn't even know he knew Water Gun back at the hotel in the town where your family lives! He just playfully splashed me so I figured if he knew that, he might know a couple more simple ones like Tackle and Growl..." Samantha whimpered, realizing her vicarious training experience from TV and Games might be a hindrance on her journey rather than a help.

"Oh really? Well, I dunno about you, but I have a fair number of pointers I could give you! And I call them the TICKLE MONSTERS!" Tielle proceeded to attack the little girl with tickling fingers lovingly, knowing that it would be best to make her cheer up a bit before they got to the house they were staying at.
