Samantha sighed with relief and clung tightly to Ariana. "Thank you..." she murmured quietly, then grabbed her hand and walked towards the kitchen to check on her Mommy, cooking away. "Is it almost ready, Mommy? I'm weally hungwy!"

Samantha looked at her mother with a big grin. "I think Isabella's silly voice is really cute!" She gave her mother a hug and nuzzled against her. "Didn't you say some cute things when you were a little girl?" she asked, then looking up into her mother's eyes, seeing her tiny face reflected back. The girl wondered how similar they were as kids, but knew that the two of them were close enough that it didn't matter if they were totally different - they were two loving family members.

"Probably not," Natalie replied. "My mother always taught me to speak properly so I never pronounced anything wrongly." She sighed. "Never mind." She bent down and ruffled Samantha's hair. "But I think the voice is weally, weally cute, too!"

"Well, you taught me to speak properly too, although I still stumble over new words now and again" said the child in a matter of fact manner. "But that doesn't mean I don't like to have fun now and then, you know?" Samantha playfully stuck her tongue out at her mommy, showing her playfulness and general upbeat mood that the nap had put her in.

Natalie laughed, gave her a big hug and kiss and then directed her towards the table. "Go and sit, since the food is nearly done, okay, sweetie?"

Just then Isabella appeared in the doorway, dragging her sister with her. She giggled, let go of her sister's hand and sat in the chair next to Samantha. "Are you feeling better?" she asked.

Samantha happily pattered across the hardwood floor to the dinner table and sat down comfy on the cushion that was there for her. She waved happily at Isabella and leaned over to give her a friendly kiss on the cheek when the child sat down next to her.

"Yeah, I'm feeling a lot better! How about you?" chirped the young trainer. She seemed to have a lot more energy this evening than she had the evening before, and getting her to bed later would no doubt be a challenge - but for now it wasn't an issue, as she was a happy little girl with a happy little friend.

Samantha kicked her legs back and forth idly, smiling and smelling the yummy food's coming from the kitchen. "Do you like fish and chips?" she asked the smaller child, wondering about Isabella's tastes. Samantha was a pretty picky girl at the younger child's age, and while she wasn't exactly the pinnacle of adventurous eating, she had improved a bit over the past couple of years, and as such was always curious about the culinary interests of others.
