Ariana chuckled at Samantha's reaction. "Yeah, that's pretty much how Ash gets." She listened to what Samantha asked for. "The rice balls?" She took them out and handed them to Samantha. "Now, we have two rules when eating in this house."

Ones that Ash forgets all the time... she thought to herself.

"One, wash your hands before eating every meal and two, always sit down at the table when eating."

[CottonFluff]

Samantha nodded obediently and walked over to the sink to wash her hands as she was told. Once she was all scrubbed up, she dried her hands on a dishtowel and went to sit politely at the table.

"Ready!" she chirped happily, well aware that Ariana probably had been watching her the entire time but putting on her best behavior anyway.

Ariana sighed inwardly with relief that Samantha had obeyed her - otherwise Ariana's mother would not have been happy with her.

"Good girl," Ariana commented, rubbing Samantha's head softly. "Do you want anything to drink?"

Samantha looked up at Ariana and smiled. "Can I have some Milk, please?" It wasn't her favorite, but she was going to have to keep working on being a big strong Pokemon Trainer now, so she might as well stay healthy. If nothing else, it would make her Momma pleased.

"Are you going to eat with me?" she asked Ariana inquisitively.

"Sure thing, Samantha," Ariana answered, getting the milk out and a glass for the young girl. "Eat with you? Of course. I just need to get something to eat."

Then Ash came into the kitchen and tugged on Ariana's skirt. "Auntie Awiana, I'm hungwy."

"Can't you ask your mommy to do something for you?" Ariana asked, since her sister normally did.

"Daddy said I should spend time with you," Ash replied. Then he sat down at the table next to Samantha.

Ariana rolled her eyes at her nephew and got out some fruit for him. Ash cheered and ate it happily.

As for herself, Ariana just got some cereal. It may have been a breakfast food, but Ariana loved to eat cereal whenever she could. She washed her hands and then sat down at the table, giving Samantha her milk as well.

Samantha quietly ate her rice balls and drank her milk happily, making sure to give a "thank you" for all of her various services. After Ariana was seated and eating and the rest of the adults were out of the room.

"So. Um... I think my mommy is upset with me. It sounds like we're going to get a hotel room to stay the night... but I'm not sure what to say when we get to talk about it alone. I think I'm in a lot of trouble for not being honest with her sooner..."

Ariana frowned. "I don't think I can help you this time, Samantha. I think this one is more up to you. I'm sure she isn't that upset with you, though - but don't take my word for it. What's the maddest she's ever gotten before?"

[CottonFluff]

Samantha paused and thought about it... "The maddest... I guess she's usually pretty calm, even when she's really upset with me. I think yesterday was one of the worse incidents. But I was honest with her from the start. She really doesn't like it when I lie... and this time it was about something really big."

She gave a bit of a gulp and went back to nibbling her rice balls. She didn't want to go into too much detail since little Ash was there, but she definitely knew she was in for it big time this go round...

"Whenever I get in twouble, I just smile at my mommy and daddy and they not mad any more!" Ash said, giving a big smile to Samantha.

Ariana sighed and shook her head in amusement at her nephew.

Samantha turned and smiled at the little tyke. "I used to do that... enjoy it while it lasts, sweetie" she said, reaching over to rub the little boy's hair.

"He's a nice little boy" she said to Ariana. "He's very lucky to have you for an aunt."
