Natalie giggled at Squirtle's antics. "I wonder how young it is. It might be a little baby Pokemon. And yes, sweetie, we're going to Viridian City, well done."

Samantha giggled at the antics of the little guy. "Maybe Ariana will know. She's been around Pokemon a lot longer than me. I guess its either that or go back to Professor Oak and ask, but that seems a little silly."

She finished her eggs and continued to take pieces of her toast and fed them to the small Pokemon, careful not to get her finger nipped by his excited and hungry mouth. She also nibbled on some of the toast and generally enjoyed the morning in lovely little Pallet Town.

Natalie didn't miss Saffron City at all. Sure, she missed the familrity of it, but not the actual place itself. It held terrible memories for her and she was glad to get away from it for a while. Not that it was the only reason why she came along.

She wanted to protect Samantha as well, and while she trusted Ariana by now, it would be much more relieving to see for herself how Samantha.

Plus, she wasn't sure that Samantha would be able to cope without her mother. She'd depended on her mother for so long now.

Samantha nodded happily. "Uh huh! It's nice to get to smell some fresh air! It reminds me of that field trip to the Cycling Road I went on with school last year." Saffron was definitely a massive city, and Celadon wasn't much smaller, but the edge of the city along the Cycling Road gave her an idea of just how fresh and natural the world could be - especially watching all of the Flying Pokemon in their natural habitat.

The girl cleaned her mouth up with the cloth napkin that the waiter had given her and even used it to remove some of the crumbs off of little Squirtle's face. "Okay, time to go back in your Pokeball" she said sweetly, taking the little orb and returning the critter to it's portable home.

She stood up and walked around the table to give her mommy a hug. "I'm ready whenever you are," she chirped cheerfully.

Natalie hugged her back tightly. "Let's go back to Ariana's house, all right?"

The pair got the rest of their things and checked out of the hotel. They went back to Ariana's house, enjoying being able to walk and enjoy peace and quiet.

Ariana was sitting on her porch, waiting for the two. "Hey, you guys!" she called once they were close.

Samantha waved at Ariana. "Hi Ariana! Are you ready to go?" she said happily. This was the part that she was waiting for, and all but made her forget about the spanking she got earlier. "We're thinking about walking off to Viridian City, since Mommy says that's what people do when they start an adventure here."

The girl, looking the part, giggled and held her Squirtle's Poke Ball in her hand happily. "But before we leave, can we stop by a Poke Mart and get a couple of Poke Balls? In case we run into one I can catch with my new partner."

Ariana nodded. "I'm all ready to go, yes." She listened to Samantha's question. "Yeah, we can do that. I need to go to the Poke Mart anyway. I was going to yesterday..." She walked up to Samantha, smiling. "But a little girl interrupted me."

Samantha grinned impishly. "Well, I hope that girl got a good spanking then! It's not nice of her to do something like that" she joked, in a good mood. "Speaking of, thank you for helping me tell my Mommy about the train station incident... I feel a lot better now that I'm not keeping that a secret."

The little girl gave Ariana a big hug and grabbed her hand to try and follow her to the Poke Mart in town. She didn't have much money herself, just some leftover allowance change, but she thought that she would have enough for one or two basic Poke Balls.

Ariana began to walk towards the town centre, hand in hand with Samantha. Natalie grabbed Samantha's other hand.

"I'm glad you feel a lot better," Ariana said. "Did you have a good night here?"

"I really did! It was a nice hotel room we got to stay in. It was a long night, but I got to spend it with Mommy so I was happy anyway" she said smiling.

The trio approached and entered the smaller Poke Mart, and Samantha immediately made a bee-line for the Poke Balls. Picking up one of the basic ones, she ran to the counter and sat it there in front of her.

She shuffled around and pulled out a little coin purse and emptied it out.

"Um, how many Poke Balls can I get for this?" she said, dropping a small amount of Poke Dollars and coins. She hadn't counted how much she had left from various little treats and toy's she'd purchased with the money she got on a semi-regular basis back home, but she hoped it was enough.
